The Wyndham salvos and the Wyndham rotary club combine to collect almost 3500 can of for via the Wyndham 1000. Great work to all involved

Les Porter will be completing his annual Wyndham 1000 around the City of Wyndham to raise money for the local Salvation Army. Why am I doing this?
Wyndham 1000 with Les Porter. Raising funds for the Werribee Salvation Army. To raise funds for the Salvation Army in the City of Wyndham. 100% of the funds raised will be targeted towards helping the homeless, the disadvantaged and those at risk in our community. How will I do this? By riding an adult tricycle (non powered i.e. human powered) during daylight hours until 1000 kms are completed. Th

Wyndham 1000 UPDATE:
This year, as in the past, the ride will be about “clocking up” km. However this year will be a little bit different.
Les Porter, having ridden many kms each of the past 14 years, will not be able to ride at all this year due to having an operation and not being cleared to ride. Not what Les was hoping for but health and wellbeing comes first.

The Wyndham1000 is on again this year, for the 15th time!
The ride will run from:
Saturday 19th October - Saturday 16th November
Riding will be every week day except Melbourne Cup, weather permitting, and the course is approximately 30km long.
Each ride commences at Cnr Heaths Rd and Barber Dr at 9:00am following a circuit with a pit stop at the The Salvation Army Wyndham City around 10:00am.
Hope to see many of you take part in the annual ride and fundraiser for The Salvation Army Wyndham. All funds raised assist residents in need and for any further information, please message through to this page.

UPDATE:
Friday 10th November
The Wyndham 1000 has almost come to a close with just over 1000km rode by Les and other keen riders and runners along the way.
Thank you to everyone who has joined in along the way, including the students at schools.
A celebration to mark the end of the Wyndham 1000 was scheduled for tomorrow, but this has been postponed to next Saturday 18th November, with more details on location to come next week.
