Vale John Boorn

John Boorn passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday 3 August 2026 aged 91 years. He was a much valued and popular supporter of the Ormond Amateur Football Club. He lived close to EE Gunn Reserve and became a regular spectator at matches and club lunches right up to the time of his passing.

John was a staple of most home games, sitting behind the glass cheering for his beloved Ormond. A lovely man that will be missed.

John was married to Enid (dec), and had two daughters, Jane and Lucy, and five grandchildren, including Charlie who played for Ormond Juniors 2017-19. Our sincere condolences to John’s family and friends.

A Celebration of Life for John will be held on Friday 14 August 2026 in the Renowden Chapel at Springvale Botanical Cemetery, 600 Princes Highway, Springvale, commencing at 10.
