MOIRA Youth Services (formerly Southern Directions Youth Services) has been in existence since 1981 and is the youth support program of MOIRA.
What is MOIRA Youth Services? The program is funded through the Supported Accommodation Assistance Program (SAAP). MOIRA Youth Services is a community service program which exists to provide caring, well managed programs that increase opportunities for homeless young people. Who can use the program? MOIRA Youth Services supports young people between the ages of 15-25 years who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. MOIRA Youth Services supports young people in supported accommodation, private rental, emergency housing, private board, public housing, family home or with extended family. Young people seeking support:
Must demonstrate willingness to utilise support from SDYS workers to achieve their goals. Need to be prepared to live with others in shared housing and respect the rights of other tenants. Require a commitment towards moving to independent accommodation. Referral:
