Yesterday (Monday) was a very memorable day; we witnessed Norm Sellers roll his last bowl done. Norm announced his retirement from Bowls. Some Members formed a arch of arms and he proudly walked through them. Peter made a speech and we enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea plus a few drinks. We hope to still see Norm in a spectator role. All the very best to a remarkable person.

As many would already know, we have an arrangement with a Gold & Jewellery purchasing group; they hire our Clubrooms maybe once every two months or so. They are scheduled to appear 15th July from 11.00AM to 3.00PM. This is a great opportunity to cash in unwanted Jewellery.

What an exciting month we have enjoyed to date. Last Saturday we had the absolute pleasure to open our newly surfaced Green. This project has taken 3 years to come to completion. some of the parties that must be acknowledged include: Mornington Peninsula Shire, Community Bank Southern Peninsula, Steve Brindle, Peter Flynn. Much of the heavy lifting was done by the Griffos, both Anette and Stuart. Cam Williams was also contributed significantly as our local Councillor.
The green was officially opened by Cam who also Bowled the first Bowl. Anette was given the pleasure of bowling the Jack, while Troutie and Annmaree bowled the following bowls as the winners of the Club Singles championships.
