On September 19, 1911, a group of golf professionals came together with a vision for their profession and established what would become the PGA of Australia.
Pictured is Carnegie Clark's Pro Shop, on the left of the Royal Sydney Golf Club clubhouse, where the PGA of Australia was formed on this day in 1911.
115 years later, that vision lives on through PGA Members across Australia and around the world. From internationally recognised Members including Greg Norman and Adam Scott to the PGA Professional at your local golf club, today's PGA Members are coaches, managers, tournament professionals, retailers, administrators, educators, business owners and industry leaders.
For 115 years, PGA Members have competed, coached, led, managed, educated, innovated and introduced generations of Australians to golf.
