Congratulations to PGA Professional Matthew Laverty for being awarded the Order of Australia Medal in King’s Birthday Honours!

The PGA of Australia is saddened to share the news of the passing of long-time Head Professional at The Metropolitan Golf Club, Brian Twite OAM.

Brian was a PGA Member for 71 years and passed Tuesday evening aged 99.

We extend our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, members at Metropolitan and the thousands upon thousands of people to whom he gave a lesson.

A much-deserved honour for 55-year PGA Member Nicholas McCormack OAM who has today been awarded the Order of Australia Medal for his Service to Golf.

Nicholas has been a long-time champion for junior golf and the positive influence that golf can have on young lives.

Nicholas is one of four people on the King's Birthday Honours list recognised for their contribution to golf.
