Could we be looking at two of the future floor generals of Gilas Pilipinas?
Titing Manalili and Andy Gemao are taking very different paths, but both are giving Filipino basketball fans plenty of reasons to pay attention.
Manalili has already shown that pressure does not scare him. The Letran point guard emerged as the NCAA Season 101 Rookie of the Year and has built a reputation as a creative playmaker who can control the tempo, create for teammates, and deliver in big moments.
In Letran's semifinal clincher against Perpetual, Manalili exploded for 16 points and 14 assists. He carried that momentum into 2026, including a 20 point, 8 assist, 4 rebound, and 3 steal performance against San Beda in the Filoil Preseason Cup.
Then there is Andy Gemao.
The 6 foot 1 Filipino guard is taking his game to NCAA Division I basketball with Penn State. Before joining the Nittany Lions, Gemao recorded 712 points and 256 assists during his final season at Royal Crown School in Canada while helping his team finish the regular season with a 19 and 2 record.
Gemao also already has international experience with the Philippines at the U16 and U19 levels and competed at the 2026 adidas Eurocamp and adidas Nations Tokyo U19 camp.
Manalili brings the vision, control, toughness, and creativity of a natural floor general.
Gemao brings playmaking, international experience, and the opportunity to develop against NCAA Division I competition in the United States.
