We will miss you Joey 🕊

Today is such a sad day, we received the shocking news, one of our karting friends has sadly passed away. God took an angel way to young.

Joey was a beautiful young boy, who had so much love and respect for karting. He was a beautiful kid, a beautiful heart and offered advice to Jonathan many times at AKC. This news is absolutely heartbreaking.

Joey thank you for your words and fun times at the track. We will miss your smile.
May you be at peace and racing in the clouds above.

AKC rnd 3 at Newcastle kart Club.

What a massive 5 days.
From driving 11hrs Wednesday to setting up on Thursday, practice all day Friday to racing Saturday and Sunday.

This is a tough track. It's like a roller coaster, get 1 corner wrong and your struggling up that hill.
My first time tacing on this track and I was able to get into the rhythm and was in top 4 fastest during practice 4.
Things were looking great for an early start for Qualifying on Saturday. However, with a 7:50am start and a slippery track, my nerves got the better of me and I qualified 19th 😬. This meant I had my work cut out and had to work hard to get back to the top end.

I had a lot of work to do, it wasn't going to be easy, but I stayed focused, kept my goals in sight and raced hard. I thought about each overtake, and slowly I made way up the grid.

In the final, boy was it tough. 12mins to get as close as possible to the top 5. 15 laps was all I had. I worked my way through a train of karts to cross the line in 6th.
Woohoo what a race......such an adrenaline rush.

Heat 1: started 19th finished 14th
Heat 2: started 19th finished 15th, 3rd fastest time on track
Heat 3: started 14th finished 13th.
Heat 4: started 15th finished 5th, with 2nd fastest lap time.
Final: started 12th finished 6th, with 4th fastest lap time.

Saturday saw us head up to Bendigo Kart Club, to race in their May Club day.

Today almost didn't happen due to a fire destroying their canteen a few days before. The club did an amazing job to have the track race ready. Get behind their gofundme and support them in raising funds to rebuild the canteen.

It's been over a year since I drove on this track and I was determined to give it my best.
challenged me to some fast racing and some great action. It was close all day. I set some fastest lap times too. It was great fun.

My sister also did her first race at Bendigo, with a decent field with some strong local racers. She achieved her goal of not finishing last, lol, she was thrilled.

Qualifying:
Heat 1: 1st
Heat 2: 3rd (unfortunately had engine troubles so dad had work to do and fix it quickly before the next race)
Heat 3:2nd
Final: 1st

With Bendigo taking all points to award the winner, I came a close 2nd.

Well done to Jack on his 1st, and to Koby on coming 3rd. Thanks for great racing boys.

Day 2 of Australian Kart Championship 2025, Rnd 2 at .

Fresh start to the morning with lots on today.
Qualifying
Heat 1, 2 & 3.
So exciting to be able to here racing. We have a strong field, and I'm looking forward to getting on the track.
