With another edition of the Victorian Clash of Clubs series completed we saw a host of incredible matches. Gruelling hook wars and long fought battles of endurance littered the table yesterday as 21 matches went down without incident.

A huge thank you goes out to The Sports Bar at Highpoint for being a welcoming and wonderful venue! More thanks goes to Duan Beckett and Andrew Lea for reffing throughout the event and helping out where needed. tamikaw2003 for being instrumental in the organisation process and creating the backdrop for the event. And of course all the Athletes for showing up and giving it their best!

The video of the event will be released shortly but for now, the point tally after the event.

In last place is Team Hammerhouse who only were able to have one match and unfortunately didn’t manage to score any pins. In sixth place we have the Valkyries women’s team taking home 3 points thanks to Hannah Bishops impressive win over the accomplished Yvonne in an amazing hook war. Taking fifth place was the Peninsula Pulldogs with 5 points. Taking fourth place was BigTown with 8 points. In third place was Breakthrough Ballarat with 13 points. Claiming a commendable second place was the Melbourne Table Kings with 15 points.
Big congratulations to H.o.P team for taking first place with a massive 23 points!

With House of Pain in the lead we look to the next two Clash of Clubs events this year to win back positions and fight for the title of 2025 C.o.C Champions.

As excitement builds for the 2025 AAF line up of events, let’s reflect on the 2024 Nationals event held right here in Melbourne!

A huge thank you to the AAF team for cultivating another epic event, and to all our volunteers on the day for putting in the hard work for this event to run smoothly. Special mentions to Tom Uglesja for always making sure the stage is set for both safety and entertainment, to Jordan Davis for flying down to MC the entire event alongside competing himself, to Duan as always for running our registrations and scoring across three action packed tables, and to all our referees who ensured all matches were safe and fair.

We’ve loved seeing the growth of Armwrestling in Victoria put to the test against interstate pullers, a huge shout out to our state’s podium finishers:

Robbie Capone taking 1st place left in the men’s 80kg class

Rhett Downward taking 1st place right in the men’s 80kg class

Leo Marcus taking 2nd place left and 3rd place right in the men’s 90kg class

With the second edition of the Victorian Clash of Clubs only two weeks away on the first of February, we are happy to announce our list of matches! Bigger and better than the first event with a total of 21 matches!

For all athletes involved this will be an epic showdown to do your club proud. Each pin earning your club a point and working towards the grand total at the end of the year to determine which club reigns supreme!

Clash of Clubs matches begin at 12pm, Feb 1st, Highpoint Hotel. Don’t miss out on your chance to cheer on your club members!

As the new year begins, so too does competition in Victorian armwrestling! The first chance to prove who is strongest and who is ready to put heart, soul and passion into your hand will be the second edition of the VIC Clash of Clubs! Held again at Highpoint Hotel on the 1st of February! As a reminder the Clash of Clubs is a SuperMatch series where athletes get the chance to represent their clubs with pride and are matched up against members of other clubs.

2025 looks to be an awesome year for armwrestling fans over the world and as the sport is taken to new heights, so too must our tournaments rise in turn. To start this off correctly the Clash of Clubs will install a new points system: 1 point for your represented club per pin. As each clash of club event is run the points will be tallied up and at the end of the year the club holding the most points will be named champion and awarded the C.o.C Shield! A plaque which will hold the name and year of each champion club.
