Free Menβs Health Events in Our Community
At our club, we talk a lot about teamwork, resilience and supporting each other on and off the field.
The men in our club community play many important roles. They are dads, coaches, players, mentors, volunteers, partners, grandparents and parents who help make our club what it is.
They support our players, lead our teams, volunteer their time and often put the needs of others before their own.! π
While physical health is often front of mind in sport, men's mental health and wellbeing can sometimes be overlooked. Many men face challenges with stress, mental health, family responsibilities, work pressures and life balance, often without seeking support or knowing where to turn.
As part of Men's Health Week 2026, Kingston Council is hosting two free community events designed to start important conversations, build connections and provide practical support for men and those who support them.

Wednesday 17 June
Learn practical skills to recognise when someone may be struggling and how to have meaningful conversations that could make a real difference.
Whether you're a player, coach, parent, volunteer or supporter, these sessions provide valuable tools and insights that can help you support yourself, your family, your teammates and your mates.
As a club, we care about the wellbeing of all members of our community.
Strong communities are built when people feel connected, supported and comfortable asking for help when they need it.
Sometimes the most important thing we can do is check in on a mate. A simple conversation can make a real difference.
JUST ASK THEM, "You been OK mate?"
If you are interested in attending or bringing a mate with you, please see the information from Kingston Council and register for these free events.

Good News!!
Chelsea FC U17A Future First player Orlando Sinn has been selected to play for Australia at the Transplant World Cup in Frankfurt this September.
What an achievement for this young man! π
This is Orlando's journey.
Back in 2009 his parents welcomed their second child Orlando into the world. Their joy was soon shattered as they learned he was gravely ill and required a Liver Transplant. Through the selflessness of another family and the dedicated team at the RCH, he was given a second chance just 4 days shy of his first birthday. Since then, he has never looked back.
image 1 image 2
He started playing soccer at 3 and joined Chelsea FC at 5. He played his first real game at 5, when he stepped in to help his older brothers team who were short a player. He has loved every minute at Chelsea FC, played up through our development programs now in the high-end Future First U17A Boys Team and made some lifelong friends.
As Orlando turned 16, it was time for him to start taking more responsibility around his condition and he was encouraged to connect with the Transplant Community. He reached out and found that there was a football community and started playing social kick arounds with them.
From this he was asked to trial and has now been selected to play for Australia! Wow!
He is one of 14 players, and he is the only junior. These players are not professionals. They are transplant recipients β people who fought to survive β and are now representing Australia at the Transplant Football World Cup in Frankfurt this September. It's both a timely and costly venture, with 4 interstate camps plus 11 days in Frankfurt for the event.
The team is currently fundraising for the trip to Germany, and we were hoping our members could help and share Orlando's story and the fundraising link Macquarie is helping the team, by matching $0.50 for every $1 raised.
So, we need your help!

Senior Womens Match Report β Round 6β½οΈ
Round 6 saw our Senior Womenβs SL2 Team travel away to St Kilda SC Senior Womenβs.
The result wasn't what we were hoping for, with St Kilda taking an early 2-0 lead. Jazz gave us a lift with a well-taken free kick to score our first goal of the match.
While the result didn't go our way, we'll take the lessons, reset, train hard, and go again next week.
But our Senior Womens SL6 team had the opposite outcome!
They had a strong convincing win at home against Mount Martha Soccer Club coming away in the end at 6.2!
Winger/Striker Iona Rogers smashed an impressive hat trick of 3 goals and continues to go from strength to strength!
Well done Iona and congrats Ladies ! π
Go Chelsea! π
