2026 Level 8 Students of The Australian Ballet School
The Australian Ballet School
The Australian Ballet School is Australia's national centre for elite vocational classical dance.

Last week our Level 8 students took part in a Contemporary Creative workshop with the Sydney Dance Company. They learned repertoire and had the opportunity to workshop their own choreography with guidance from SDC.
Experiences like this are an invaluable part of our training, giving students the chance to work with industry professionals, broaden their creative expression, and gain real insight into the professional dance world.
A huge thank you to Sydney Dance Company for sharing your artistry, knowledge, and passion with our students.

Meet Aidan Brady, one of our 2026 Level 8 students!
Born and raised in Sydney, Aidan began dancing at five, initially training across jazz, tap, hip hop and contemporary before discovering ballet at The McDonald College Performing Arts School. There, he performed in works including Encounter, choreographed by Adrian Burnett, and was part of Premier State Ballet in 2023. He commenced full-time training at The Australian Ballet School in 2024.
Aidan is drawn to the freedom and vulnerability of performance, and the way dance allows him to connect meaningfully with an audience. He was recognised with Encouragement Awards in Levels 6 and 7. In his graduate year, he is thrilled to join The Australian Ballet on National Tour performing Act II of The Nutcracker and a new work by Stephanie Lake, alongside repertoire in School performances including Lucas Jervies’ Concerto Anniversary and Fight or Flight.
When he's not in the studio, Aidan can often be found enjoying a good coffee, exploring the outdoors on long walks, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Meet Lucelle Davis, one of our 2026 Level 8 students!
Lucelle was drawn to ballet from the start; pink tutus, tulle and all. She began taking classes from the age of two, what began as a childhood fascination quickly became a genuine passion. She trained part-time in Sydney under Catherine Edwards, Lucinda Dunn OAM, and Adam Blanch, whose guidance helped shape her early development.
In 2022, Lucelle joined The Australian Ballet School. Now in her fifth year, her appreciation for the art form continues to deepen. Highlights include receiving the Level 7 Encouragement Award and the chance to learn from the School's exceptional teachers and community. In 2025, Lucelle had the opportunity to perform with The Australian Ballet in Nijinsky and Manon. This year, Lucelle is exited to be joining The Australian Ballet on its National Tour, performing in Act II of The Nutcracker and a brand new work by Stephanie Lake.
When she's not in the studio, she enjoys reading and exploring Melbourne with friends.
