Melbourne Marathon Festival

Melbourne Marathon Festival The 2026 is taking to Melbourne's streets on Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 October. https://linktr.ee/melbmara

This year the festival will comprise of the following events:
42.2km Nike Melbourne Marathon
42.2km Nike Wheelchair Marathon
21.1km Nike Half Marathon
10km Run
5km Run
3km Walk

The event is set in the heart of Melbourne with event courses running through Yarra Park, St Kilda, Flinders Street, the Shrine of Remembrance, and finishing with one lap of the iconic MCG.

Another Australian standout is heading to the start line.Rebecca Lowe will take on the Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival this October.

Fresh from being selected to represent Australia at the 2026 World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen, Rebecca joins an incredible line-up of Australia’s best distance runners taking on Melbourne.

“I’m really excited to be racing in Melbourne. It was a breakthrough race for me 2 years ago when I took 10 minutes off my PB, so it’s a special place to return to! It’ll be my first marathon of the year. I love the finish into the MCG and I’m looking forward to taking on the new course this year with more training and experience behind me”

Nike Melbourne Marathon record holder and one of our most decorated distance runners, Sinead Diver will take on the Nike Melbourne Marathon at the 2026 Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival. 

Olympian and National record holder 2022-2025, Sinead represents Australian distance running at its finest at this year’s event.

“I’m excited to get out there in 4 weeks and see what I can do on the new Nike Melbourne Marathon course. This is my fourth time racing Melbourne, I’m the current course record holder so it would be nice to try and hold onto that. I’m also looking forward to Eliud Kipchoge coming over this year. It’s going to be a great day, I can’t wait.”
