The Victorian Athletic League (VAL) conduct athletic carnivals known as Gifts (historically called professional Athletics or Pro's) across the state of Victoria. Gift races allow athletes of all abilities to compete in a fun, competitive and social environment. Each athlete is given a mark (handicap) based on their ability, giving them an equal opportunity to triumph in their chosen event. Prize money varies in each event and can range from $300 to $60,000.

Following their election at the recent AGM, we welcome new Board members Gerard Adams, Brian Wright and Charlie Sutherland, and congratulate Dom Condello on his re-election.
The Board wish to sincerely thank Matthew McDonough, David Griffin and Katie Moore for the wonderful contribution they have made to our sport via their involvement on the Board, and know that they will continue to contribute in other ways.
The Board have elected Charlie Sutherland as President, supported by Vice President Craig Burnett and Treasurer Mat Boyes.
