Great to get down to East Brighton FC to run a football session and end with a chat about mindset, my sport journey so far and what it means to be a female athlete. Good luck to the team for the rest of season đŸ©·

It was a pleasure to present to the Year 11 and 12 students at Box Hill Senior Secondary College yesterday . We explored themes of confidence, identity, and resilience, with a focus on empowering young people to pursue their ambitions with clarity and resilience. Thank you to the staff and students for the warm welcome and engaging discussion.

Fifty-one years ago, Billie Jean King made history in a match that transcended tennis, becoming a powerful symbol of gender equality. Facing Bobby Riggs in the highly publicised “Battle of the Sexes,” King played not just for herself, but for women everywhere.

At Athlete63, we embody that passion and determination know no gender. Just as 6-3 marked her final set, it symbolises the strength and resilience we strive to inspire in every female athlete we support, inspiring future generations to challenge outdated norms and fight for fairness, both on and off the court. King’s triumph remains a beacon of progress, showing the world that societal norms need to be challenged and broken. đŸ©·

I am excited to announce that we are rebranding! Due to popular demand, we have decided to extend our mission to a wider range of sports, ensuring that more young women benefit from our empowering programs.

The number 63 in Athlete63 symbolises the final set (6-3) of the historic “Battle of the Sexes” tennis match where Billie Jean King triumphed over Bobby Riggs on September 20, 1973 decisive victory due to Riggs’ opinions that women’s sport was not as impressive as men’s. Billie Jean King’s victory became a catalyst for positive change, inspiring future generations of female athletes and leading to greater support and opportunities for women in sports.

Our mission remains the same: to empower young female athletes with sustainable strategies to thrive in their sporting journeys. Our ultimate vision is to create an environment where female athletes feel confident, empowered, and unstoppable in achieving their goals. đŸ©·

Witnessing the passion and determination of these young athletes was incredibly uplifting. Their enthusiastic engagement was a testament to their dedication and potential to achieve their dreams. It was a great week! đŸ©·đŸ’œ
