Last Monday Garden Grapple’s striking coach, Dylan Mauger ticked off another accomplishment on his personal Fight Quest.
Dylan competed in the 2025 CapoFiore Historical Wrestling Tournament winning the Lightweight division. He also then competed against one of his competitors in a “special rules - wrestling with submissions match” winning via straight ankle lock. He also went on to defeat the winner of the Heavyweight Division in a crossover match.

Dylan has now competed and medalled in 8 different Martial Arts including Boxing, Kickboxing, Shoot Boxing, Savate, Karate, Sumo, BJJ, and Jacket Wrestling.

Proving once again that he is a well rounded life long Martial Artist. Next on his list is Scottish Backhold Wrestling in May. Love you work, Dyl.

It was with great pride along with Jeremy F. Ta'kody to award my great mate, Dylan Mauger his BJJ Purple Belt this morning.
Dylan is a staple of Garden Grapple MMA. The official striking coach but always willing to help others with any discipline. He is a lifelong martial artist who is continuously working to become the best version of himself. Ask anyone and they will tell you, Dylan is as real as it gets!

Big moment in the Garden this morning with Nick Jones being awarded his BJJ Blue Belt.
Nick has been training mornings with me since day 1 and it is with great pride to see him reach this belt. Now you’re a blue belt everyone can breathe easier and not feel so bad after eating one of your straight foot locks 😝
