Our 2026/27 committee has now been elected, and we’re excited to get started on preparations for another big season at Lilydale Cricket Club.

ANGUS ADAMSON SIGNS ON AS PLAYING ASSISTANT COACH FOR THE 2026/27 SEASON
We are thrilled to not only announce the recommitment of Angus as a player, but also as the new assistant coach of the club
Angus “Gussel” Adamson has been apart of the club for 5 seasons thus far with some incredible highlights; including the 2023/24 RDCA T20 premiership, multiple 1st XI grand final appearances , and a stat line which reads:
- 1696 runs @ 24.94
- 8 x 50s
- High score of 94
- 57 wickets @ 24.12
- Best figures of 4/20
The club is excited for Angus to share his knowledge and wisdom of the game in a larger leadership capacity. He is a loved and well respected part of the LCC community with a plethora of experience to share and guide the playing group through the next season

💥 BEN SPENCER APPOINTED CLUB CRICKET DIRECTOR FOR SEASON 2026/27 💥
The Lilydale Cricket Club would like to thank Ben for his work as the clubs senior assistant coach during season 2025/26.
The club is excited to announce that Ben has been appointed to the club’s Cricket Director for season 2026/27.
Ho***rs will liase with Coaches, captains, junior coordinator’s, Junior coaches the committee to bridge the gap between the specific roles and whats needed to perform their roles adequately.
Its a great step in a forward direction 😊 and Ben is perfect for the role.

Guess who's back???
The club is absolutely stoked to welcome back the little master Shifran Muthalif for season 2026/27.
After a short stay at St Andrew’s for season 2025/26 Shifran and his lovely family have decided to return home to continue their journey with the blue and gold.
The club gains a two time Bill Dean medallist who oozes class on and off the field and is highly regarded by all. In his 5 years at Lilydale he has put together some scary stat lines.

PLAYER SIGNING!!!!
The club is thrilled to announce the signing of the young and exciting all-rounder Will Spencer
At just 22 years old, he comes to us from Chirnside Park where he enjoyed a strong season amassing 218 runs and 20 wickets in Stuart Newey Shield.
Will is known for his power hitting, crafty medium pace, and for being a cricket "nuffie"
Throughout his career he has tallied an impressive stat line that includes:
- 3700 runs
- 12 x 50s
- High score of 87
- 326 Wickets
- Best bowling of 6/38
Joining us alongside Will is his cousin Xavier Spencer-Welch, who we very much look forward to welcoming to the LCC family
The club extends a big welcome to Will, his partner Scarlett, cousin Xavier, and all that follow his cricket journey.
We are ecstatic to have signed Will for the 2026/2027 season and are eager to see him play in the blue and gold

DANIEL THOMPSON RECOMMITS AS CAPTAIN/COACH FOR SEASON 2026/27
The club is absolutely thrilled to announce that Daniel Thompson has signed on to be captain/coach once again for the 2026/2027 season
As a player there have been none better than Daniel "Tim-Tams " Thompson during his career at Lilydale, boasting a stat sheet that many could only dream of:

- 51 x 50s
- 9 x 💯
- 259 sixes!!!!
- High score of 133
- 279 wickets @ 20.82
- Best figures of 4/13
Daniel took over the coaching role for the first time last season in a challenging year for the club, but was able to learn and grow as a coach, showcased through a 2nd XI grand final appearance and extreme individual and cultural growth throughout the club. Universally loved by all at the club, Daniel shows a willingness to work with all regardless of skill, knowledge, or age
The club is thrilled to welcome back Daniel, his partner Jaydee, daughter Kiahna, son Hunter, and parents; Jason and Jodie
Make sure to get around Dan once again, as we look forward to another great year under his leadership

Congratulations to both Cameron Thompson and Elijah Prentice for finishing in the top 5 of the Pat Meehan Medal, awarded for outstanding performance across the season in Pat Meehan Shield.
Cameron (3rd place finish) had a mammoth year in the 2nd XI, managing to poll 9 votes for the season which included:
-357 runs @ 32.45
- 4 x 50s
- High score of 67 against Lusatia Park
- 8 wickets @ 25.75
- Best bowling of 3/3 against Wonga Park
Elijah (5th place finish) rocketed onto the scene for the 2nd XI, managing to poll 7 votes from a season that included:
- 206 runs @ 17.17
- 2 x 50s
- High score of 70 against Kilsyth
- 19 wickets @ 13.21
- Best bowling of 3/7 against Croydon Ranges
This is only the beginning for these two, the club urges everyone to commend the boys on their efforts as a lot of hard work has gone into their respective seasons.

Congratulations to our star captain/coach Daniel Thompson on another impressive year in Lindsay Trollope Shield
Once again, Daniel was named as apart of the all star team in the RDCA's highest division
Daniel finished the year with an impressive stat line which included:
- 466 runs @ 42.36
- 3 x 50s
- 1 x 💯
- 12 wickets at @ 37.08
- Best figures of 4/36

💙 PAT MEEHAN SHIELD GRAND FINAL RESULT 💛
Not quite the result we were after, as the 2nd XI go down in a tough fight against a strong Templeton side.
Despite the loss, everyone is super proud of the fight shown over the 2 days and the amazing season that the boys have had to make it to a grand final.
Congratulation to on a fantastic season and claiming the premiership.
Thanks to all our supporters that were down over the weekend to support, we really appreciate it.
