Jacob Thorne
Q. How long have you been playing cricket/ played for Caulfield?
A. Playing cricket for about 30 years 😆😆 maybe don’t put that in there. This will be my 12th year with Caulfield.

Q. Position in team (ie bowler, batter or all rounder)?
A. Jacob of all trades

Q. If your not playing cricket where might we find you?
A. The office or the home office. At the MCG watching the Magpies. At a Pilates studio. Overseas somewhere. At Union house.

Q. Go to karaoke song?
A. Stella was a diver and she was always down

Q. How long have you been playing cricket/ played for Caulfield?
A. I've been at Caulfield Park since age 8 - so a very long time!! Since then I've been lucky enough to be involved in two flags in the 2s and the last 5 grand finals.

Q. Position in team (ie bowler, batter or all rounder)?
A. Wicket keeper

Q. If your not playing cricket where might we find you?
A. Hiding from other cricketers

Q. How long have you been playing cricket/ played for Caulfield?
A. I have been playing at Caulfield all my life, starting with juniors when I was 10, before playing seniors at 16 which will be my 24th senior season.

Q. Position in team (ie bowler, batter or all rounder)?
A. Batter and starting at 1st slip having these buckets for hands

Q. If your not playing cricket where might we find you?
A. Spending time with my wife and 2 boys (9 & 6yo), watching cricket, Richmond, Arsenal & LA Rams and officiating lacrosse with the Victoria Lacrosse Officials Association

A. This will be my 15th season at the club coming through as a junior.

A. 5 years total with playing at Caulfield grammar and then being apart of the first women’s team at Caulfield for the last two years going into my third.

A. Bowler - I hate batting

A. Choosing our having a wine in St Kilda

Come join the fun that is the Woolworths Cricket Blast Program in 2026-27!

This program is aimed at children aged 4-9 years old and will be run on Saturday mornings in Nov 2026 to Feb 2027, with a break over the New Year period.

After a highly competitive trial process featuring an outstanding group of young cricketers, we are excited to announce the our Victorian Sub District Cricket Association Craig Shield Squad for the 2026/27 season.

The quality of talent on display made selection incredibly difficult, and we thank every player and family who participated throughout the process.

Congratulations to the players selected to represent Caulfield Cricket Club. We look forward to seeing what this talented group can achieve while representing the the club with pride, passion, and sportsmanship.

Craig Shield Update

Expression of Interest has closed and successful trial applicants have been emailed.

Please find below a couple of brief coach bios, but there are plenty of other coaches coming down

Luke Gandy:
Assistant Coach of our Senior Side, will lead our Craig Shield program this season. He joins from St Kilda Cricket Club, bringing Premier Cricket experience with St Kilda, Frankston and Dandenong, along with more than 10 years of junior coaching experience. A Level 2 accredited coach, Luke most recently guided St Kilda's Dowling Shield team to a premiership, with several players progressing to Victorian underage representative programs

Jason Cox:
Owner of High Performance Cricket. Strength & Conditioning Coach. Helps driven cricketers who feel stuck turn their hard work into results, through structure, mindset and athleticism.
