Touring Car Masters is Australia’s most popular racing series for cars from the classic period of muscle car competition between 1964 and 1980.

That’s a wrap on the Bushranger Round at Sydney Motorsport Park.

It was a strong and successful opening weekend for Touring Car Masters, with all 20 cars loaded back onto their trailers and ready to head to Tasmania in May.

Day two presented an unexpected challenge when the Trophy Race was cancelled and Race 1 was brought forward. Teams had limited time to regroup, prepare their cars and get to the grid. The way they responded — quickly, professionally and without hesitation — speaks volumes about the calibre of this category. We are incredibly proud of the teams and the effort they put in to ensure the fans still received a fantastic show.

On track, the competition was intense. Scott Cameron ( #95) delivered a commanding performance, leading much of the weekend and securing the overall round win, along with top honours in his class. Steve Johnson ( #33) pushed hard all weekend to finish second overall, with Andrew Fisher completing the overall podium in third place.

Pro Masters
1st - #33 Steve Johnson
2nd - #09 Andrew Fisher
3rd - #03 Danny Buzadzic

Pro Am
1st - #95 Scott Cameron
2nd - #18 David Hender
3rd - #58 Mark Duggan

Pro Sport
1st - #782 Dave Casey
2nd - #65 Rod Cannon
3rd - #12 Peter Burnitt

Thank you to our teams, partners and supporters for making Round One a success. Tasmania is next.

Race 2 done and dusted — and what a battle it was.

With the main circuit closed to support categories due to track conditions at Turn 8, we’ve been racing on the shorter layout — and it’s delivered action-packed, door-to-door racing all afternoon.

Race 3 hits the track at 11:00. Don’t miss it. The fight in Touring Car Masters is only heating up.

When the Trophy Race was cancelled and Race 1 was suddenly brought forward, our teams had just 20 minutes to regroup, reset and get back on the grid.

That’s the spirit of Touring Car Masters — resilience, passion, and pure racing heart. The way they rallied and still put on a show for the fans was nothing short of awesome.
