Strength + Cardio - The Ultimate Combo
Why balancing both matter:
Resistance training builds muscle, strengthens bones, and boosts your metabolism.
Cardio improves heart health, endurance, and helps your body recover faster.
Together, they enhance performance, prevent injuries, and improve long-term health outcomes.
Focusing on just one can leave gaps in your fitness.

DISCIPLINE WITH ZONE 2 HEART RATE
Why is it so hard to stay in Zone 2?
Zone 2 training is supposed to feel easy however but it’s surprisingly easy to drift out of it.
Even if you start at the right pace, your heart rate can slowly climb due to heat, fatigue, hills, dehydration, or simple heart rate drift. Before you know it, you’ve moved into Zone 3/4 without really noticing.
Another reason is ego. Most individuals are used to running/moving at a “moderate” pace that feels productive, or we simply just want to go point A to point B as fast as possible but that pace sits in the grey zone and is not easy enough for aerobic development.
Zone 2 often means running or moving slower than you think you should. Sometimes it even means slowing right down on hills or briefly walking to keep your heart rate under control.
But staying disciplined in this zone is where the magic happens and you will start building a stronger aerobic engine so you can eventually run/move faster at the same heart rate.
