Strength training is important for everyone as you get older, however we often overlook this assuming that the only benefit is aesthetics! For women specifically, strength training helps manage hormonal changes, support muscle and bone health and improve mental wellbeing!

Why strength training is important for women:

⭐️ 1 in 2 women over age 50 will break a bone due to osteoporosis
⭐️ Resistance training can reduce fracture risk in women by up to 40%
⭐️ Women lose an average of 3-8% of their muscle mass per decade from the age of 30
⭐️ Resistance training increases resting metabolic rate, allowing for easier long-term weight management
⭐️ Strength training mitigates the loss of muscle mass and bone density associated with hormonal changes during menopause.
⭐️ Exercise reduces the risk of postpartum depression by up to 45%

Currently only 20% of women are meeting the strength training recommendations! In order to stay fit and functional later in life, this number needs to be significantly higher for all women.

Come join Kieren on a quick (but killer) full body session🥵

In classic Kieren fashion, the session starts with lots of mobility and stretching!! This was followed by:
• Deadlifts
• Sled Push
• Sled Pull
• Bike Sprint

Looks like hard work… good to know he trains himself as hard as he works you guys😅
