Team Indigenous Dreaming sends all our love and respect to Spitfire - a deadly young palawa athlete from lutruwita, who proudly captained Team Australia Juniors at the Junior Derby World Cup.

Spitfire, you played some stellar games - fast, fierce and full of heart. Watching you tear up the track with power and pride was a joy. You carry yourself with leadership beyond your years, and it’s clear your team looks to you not just for strategy, but for strength of spirit.

Hold your head high - mob across these lands are proud of you. Keep blazing that trail 🔥🖤💛❤️

At Team Indigenous Dreaming, we stand for sovereignty, visibility and intergenerational strength. Since our first skate-out in 2018, we’ve been creating space where Blak skaters feel seen, proud and powerful.

So it’s with deep pride that we celebrate RAPTOR (Phoenix) - a fierce young Worimi skater who will represent Team Australia at the upcoming Junior Roller Derby World Cup in Meanjin this July. This is the highest level of junior derby in the world!

Raptor currently skates for Sydney Roller Derby. She carries 15 years of skating, 8 years in derby and a deep legacy. Her mum, PAINE (Tenille) has been with Team Indigenous Dreaming from the very start.

There’s nothing more powerful than watching our young mob rise and achieve what they’ve worked so hard for.

We see you, Raptor. We celebrate your journey, your dedication and your strength. And when your junior derby chapter closes, we can’t wait to welcome you onto the track with Team Indigenous Dreaming! 🖤💛❤️
