It’s great to see the progress on Aneurysm! Having volunteered with ‘Lysty’ for several years, I know exactly how much sweat goes into these builds.

The LDTR crew needs our help to keep this trail going!

Great morning to get out and check out the new purpose built jumps trail at Candlebark Park (the other side of Fitzsimons Lane at Westerfolds Park).

The jumps are well built with good progression for those still learning and a gentle climb back to the top.

Amazed to see three young shredders who’d come all the way from Bentleigh already there enjoying the jumps. Great job , just shows how popular our sport is and how far people are willing to travel. They’d left at 6:30am and made their way using public transport. We need more councils building more facilities like this closer to transport so young riders can make their own way there. I rode 40 minutes to check them out!

Such a great opening weekend that was!

Mad Max Golden Hour: Stage 2 Sunset Shred | Warburton Bike Park 06/04/2026

There’s only one way to finish the two days of official shuttles at Warburton Bike Park: a "Golden Hour" lap down Mad Max. 🎥🌅

Stage 2 is officially open, and while the legs were heavy by the third full run, the Yarra Valley sunset was too good to pass up. Mad Max is a fast, feature-heavy trail that rewards commitment—and honestly, I’m still finding the right speed for some of these hits!

I managed to case a few jumps as I worked out the timing, but that’s all part of the opening day progression. If you’re heading up to Warby this week, this is the ultimate "last lap" to close out your session.

Check out the full sunset shred below and see why Stage 2 is a total game-changer for the network.

It started with a beautiful sunrise 🌅 on Saturday (see my YouTube video) and ended with this sunset and a trophy case full of PRs, badges and trophies 🏆 (they’re easier to get when the trails are new 😝)

Two days of uplifts. What a way to start the Easter weekend. Thanks to all involved in conceptualising, creating and shaping this awesome network.

Day 1. First lap, first crash. Some things never change 😆

Back for Day 2 today.

So thankful for the EDC Multi Tool (V2).

Out for a gentle solo ride this morning when, at the furthest point from home, my chain broke 😫 Having this compact stem mounted tool is a god send. Ten minute fix and I was on my way. Glad it happened today and not next weekend when I’m booked for the Warby shuttles.

La Larr Ba Gauwa Park and the local Harcourt community were devastated by recent fires. If you can spare a few dollars, there’s a link to support the trails, or a GoFund me campaign to help the community.
