Thunders added another to injury list as the Thunders all-rounder Chathuranga Bandaranayake suffered a fractured bone in their match against Yarraleen cricket club. Thunders will sorely miss his talent in next six weeks.Team mates,friends and family are wishing him a speedy recovery.

After two matches were abandoned due to bad weather Thunders were eager to make it up against the Melbourne Premier Cricket League.After loosing the toss and put in to bat first in a sunny day Thunders Captain couldn't ask for a better reply from his batters. MPCL were rattled by Thunders openers and the middle order. Openers lay down a solid foundation with a opening partnership of 109 runs and the middle order carried on the momentum with a blistering 133 run partnership for the 4th wicket.After making 325/7 in 40 overs Thunders seamers made a quick work of the MPCL batsman for 84 runs in 28.5 overs.MP Fernando claimed 5 wickets for 9 runs.
