Most nurses believe burnout can be solved with rest, holidays, or “pushing through.”
But the mistake? You’re treating the symptom, not the cycle.

Let’s be honest…
Most “morning routines” were not built for nurses.
They assume:
• You slept well
• You’re not emotionally drained
• You’re not walking into chaos
👉 That’s not your reality.

So instead, here’s what actually works when you’re time-poor and running on empty:
1. Pick ONE win (not a to-do list)
Because overwhelm starts the moment you try to do everything.

2. Reset your nervous system (3 minutes)
Not motivation. Regulation.

3. Move your body briefly
Not fitness—this is about burning stress before it builds.

4. Hydrate before caffeine
You’re not tired… you’re depleted.

5. Don’t check your phone first
Or your entire day becomes reactive.

6. Do the one thing you’ve been avoiding
Avoidance is what’s draining you.

7. Decide how you’ll show up
Calm. Clear. Boundaried.

⚠️ Here's the truth most nurses won't say out loud:
You're not just tired…
You're starting every shift already behind yourself.
And no amount of “pushing through” fixes that.
