Most โmorning routinesโ were not built for nurses.
They assume:

โข Youโre not emotionally drained

So instead, hereโs what actually works when youโre time-poor and running on empty:
1. Pick ONE win (not a to-do list)
Because overwhelm starts the moment you try to do everything.
2. Reset your nervous system (3 minutes)
Not motivation. Regulation.
3. Move your body briefly
Not fitnessโthis is about burning stress before it builds.
4. Hydrate before caffeine
Youโre not tiredโฆ youโre depleted.
5. Donโt check your phone first
Or your entire day becomes reactive.
6. Do the one thing youโve been avoiding
Avoidance is whatโs draining you.
7. Decide how youโll show up
Calm. Clear. Boundaried.
