Victorian Dodgeball League

Team registrations are now closed and the 2026 VDL season dates have officially been released.

To ensure the best possible experience for players, we have adjusted parts of the season schedule to avoid clashes with major national events, particularly the Australian Dodgeball Championships: Clubs.

You can now view the updated season dates on your player portal in the “Competition info” section.

Full fixtures will be released in the coming days through our brand new Player Portal and Fixture Platform, where you will be able to filter games by team, division, and round.

2026 Victorian Dodgeball Season

Club & Team Registration

Opens: 26 January
This stage is managed by Club Managers and/or Team Captains only.
Closes: 20 February

Player Registration
Shortly after teams are created, players can use team links links to join their respective teams and complete their registration.

Closes: 2 March
Final day to add players to teams. A minimum of six players is required for division allocation.

Season Start
VDL commences on 14 March

Registration for the 2026 VDL season is officially live. We’ve introduced a new Player Portal to make the process clearer and easier for everyone.

Player Registration
Once teams are created, Team Managers can generate team joining links. These links can be shared with players to complete their registration.
Closes: 2 March

As we wrap up the 2025 season, we want to reflect on what’s been another huge year for the Victorian Dodgeball League.

Across 2025, the VDL hosted 700+ matches across Men’s, Women’s and Mixed competitions, played in both Foam and Cloth formats. Nearly 350 players took the court across almost 80 teams, and we were proud to increase our cash prize pool to $4,000, up from $3,200 in 2024, for our most competitive divisions.

In 2026, we’ll be back with all 10 divisions across Foam and Cloth, continuing to build a competition that supports development, depth, and high-level play.

A New Home for the VDL🏟️

After 8 years at Albert Park Indoor Sports Centre, the VDL will be moving to a new home in 2026.
We’re excited to announce the league will be relocating to Bundha Sports Centre, a brand-new sporting complex that we’re looking forward to calling home for the next few years.

This move brings some welcome changes. No more trekking between buildings for toilets, no sideline wall claiming stats, and a fresh court environment that brings new challenges and opportunities.

Change always comes with a learning curve, but we’re excited about what this new space offers and ask for everyone’s support as we work together to make Bundha a great home for the league.

We’d like to sincerely thank our players, captains, and clubs for their patience and understanding. As one of the largest dodgeball leagues in the world, the VDL operates across 10 divisions and brings together close to 80 teams, with players travelling from across Australia to compete.

Scheduling a league of this size involves many moving parts, including venue availability, court capacity, and operational constraints. While we always do our best to minimise clashes, it won’t always be possible to avoid overlaps with other leagues or events.

We genuinely appreciate the continued support of the community as we work through these challenges and strive to deliver the best possible experience for all players.

🎥 The 2025 VDL Finals Live This Saturday 🎥

It all comes down to this. The Victorian Dodgeball League Finals are happening on Saturday, 8 November, and you can watch every moment live on YouTube.

Once again, we’re bringing the legendary to Melbourne. He’ll be behind the latest tech capturing Finals Day!

We’ll be streaming matches from two courts, with the Bronze Medal games on Court 4 and the Gold Medal matches on the Main Court.

This year we’re also trialling the new Play Review System (PRS) on the Main Court to help improve fairness and transparency during key moments.

More information about the PRS will be shared with players by email.
