On this auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, sharing the story of Krishna’s birth in the Shri Krishna Kamalanatho Varnam. 🦚

From Kamsa hearing the divine akashvani, to Krishna’s birth in the prison of Mathura, and Vasudeva carrying the newborn Krishna across the Yamuna, sheltered by Sheshnag.

Through abhinaya, these stories continue to live, allowing us to revisit the timeless narratives and philosophy held within our traditions. 🙏🏽

Honoured to have performed as part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations hosted by the Consulate General of India, Melbourne 🇮🇳✨

It was a privilege to celebrate this special occasion through dance, presenting a classical rendition of Vande Mataram, woven with the vibrancy of Lalgudi Jayaraman’s timeless Desh Thillana.

Grateful for the opportunity to offer my art in celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage and the spirit of Independence. 🙏🏽🇮🇳

On this Guru Purnima, I reflect on one of the most meaningful moments of my artistic journey, sharing the stage with both of my Gurus during Guru Vandana, a celebration of the timeless Guru–Shishya Parampara.

In the Indian classical tradition, a Guru is far more than a teacher. A Guru is one who illuminates the path, imparting not only knowledge and technique, but values, discipline, humility, and a way of life. Through the Guru–Shishya Parampara, each generation carries forward an unbroken lineage with devotion, responsibility, and gratitude.

To stand before my Gurus, offering my dance in their presence, was both a privilege and a reminder of how they have shaped me as an artist and individual.

With deepest gratitude to my Gurus, Vasundhara Amma and Meghala Akka, for their unwavering guidance, and blessings.

Still buzzing from the incredible energy at Marvel Stadium last night! ✨

It was an absolute honour to perform in the Confluence of Indian Classical Dances as part of the historic welcome for Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Anthony Albanese and premier Jacinta Allan

Seeing Melbourne’s Indian arts community come together from across classical dance traditions, united on one stage to celebrate our shared cultural heritage was truly special. Moments like these remind us of the power of art to connect communities, honour tradition, and create lasting memories.

A month on from Guru Vandana – An Offering Through Dance, I reflect with deep gratitude on the blessings of learning through the Guru–Shishya Parampara.
This World Dance Day, I offer my tribute to my Gurujis, and to all those who continue to keep our pure classical traditions alive through dedication, discipline, and devotion.
It is through this sacred intergenerational passing of knowledge that these timeless arts continue to flourish.
