AFL – Enough is Enough! 🛑⚖️
The recent news of heavy-handed fines and suspensions against GWS Giants players has sparked outrage among fans. The AFL is once again policing private team events that didn’t involve the public or any illegal activity. From imposing a $20,000 fine on Toby Greene for “leadership reasons” (despite him not participating in the skit) to suspending players for costumes, this intervention feels more like an attempt to control than a genuine concern for fairness.
The AFL’s response is yet another example of punishing players and clubs for harmless post-season fun, with fans now asking: Where does it end? Imagine being reprimanded for what you wear or say behind closed doors, with no public impact. Fans are tired of this overreach and frustrated with the AFL’s selective enforcement of “integrity.”
🔊 Let’s push back on the AFL’s out-of-touch policies! Comment below if you’re sick of the AFL overstepping and want fair treatment for players and fans alike. We’re calling for change and accountability in the game we love, and it starts with making our voices heard.
Join the movement. Stand up for the players. Let's remind the AFL they can’t have a league without the fans.

It’s time we faced the truth: the Brownlow Medal—AFL’s most prestigious award—no longer reflects the best player in our game. Year after year, we see midfielders dominate the voting while elite players in other positions get overlooked. The best defenders, forwards, and ruckmen don’t get a look in because the system is broken, plain and simple.
We all love the tradition of the Brownlow, but is it really fair to let the umpires, who are focused on officiating the game, decide who’s been the best player? The same umpires who can miss moments that define matches? This isn’t about one bad call—this is about the entire system being out of sync with modern football.
Take a look at the facts:
• Umpires are biased towards midfielders. Just look at how rarely key forwards, defenders, or rucks get recognized. Why are we rewarding just one position?
• Players from losing teams or injured players who perform brilliantly are overlooked because the system favors team success and durability, not individual brilliance.
• The AFL Coaches Award consistently shows a different set of "best players" than the Brownlow count, proving that the umpires aren't seeing the full picture.
The best player doesn’t win the Brownlow every year. If you watch footy every week, you know it. We all know it.
It’s time to demand a system that celebrates ALL positions on the field, a system that includes votes from coaches, media, and fans—people who actually see the full game unfold. Let’s push for transparency and real fairness in the way our best players are recognized.
We need an AFL where every player has a chance to be rewarded for their brilliance—whether they’re in the midfield, the backline, or in front of goal. It’s time to update the Brownlow and give ALL players the recognition they deserve.
Who's with us? It's time to make our voices heard and bring real change to our game. 👊

The AFL is at a crossroads, and the fans are being left behind. This game was built on the passion of its supporters, but lately, it feels like we’re being sidelined.
Why Boycott Round 24?
• Inconsistent Umpiring: The ongoing controversies and inconsistencies in umpiring are frustrating fans and players alike.
• Unfair Scheduling: Fixture and scheduling inequities are creating an uneven playing field.
• Commercialization Over Fans: The AFL’s focus on profits is eroding the true fan experience.
What Can You Do?
• Don’t attend games.
• Don’t buy merchandise.
• Don’t watch on TV.
Instead, support local footy or spend time with your family and friends.
This weekend, let’s remind the AFL who really runs this game: the fans. Together, we can create a league that listens to us. 🙌
