Attention all Life Members, as of the 2026-27 AGM (held in May 2027) you will be able to have a vote via a proxy on Club Business (election of the incoming Committee), Constitution | SOP changes and Life Membership nominations via a proxy, with the conditions outlined below.

1.0 | 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗫𝗬 𝗩𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗦

1.1 | All Life Members can vote at the AGM via a proxy.

1.2 | The Life Member wishing to vote via a proxy is required to notify the club secretary in writing via email prior to the start of the AGM nominating their proxy.

1.3 | Only a Life Member can act as a proxy for another Life Member.

1.4 | A Life Member can only act as a Proxy for no more than two (2) other Life Members giving he/she three (3) votes in total.

1.5 | If the current Club President is a Life-Member, he/she can not act as a proxy for another Life-Members and must only hold the casting vote in the position of a tie.

1.6 | If a Life Member submits a proposal to change the Continuation | SOPs, then that Life Member is excluded from acting as a proxy for the said proposal.

1.7 | In circumstances where a Life Member submits a Life Membership nomination, then that Life Member is excluded from acting as a proxy for the said nomination.

ɪᴛ'ꜱ ᴛɪᴍᴇ ꜰᴏʀ 2026-27

Members, the AGM was held with the out-going Committee being the in-coming Committee with the Executive Committee unchanged with one new appointment into the vacant Cricket Operations Manager position. This is positive for the club and highlights the loyalty and commitment of the Committee to continue to drive the club forward into the future in search of Premiership success.

A few new faces joined as we welcome first time members Pete Lidgerwood, Liam Smith and James Taylor who was appointed Cricket Operations Manager while Jake Chapman rejoined the committee after serving in the past. We also thank members Mayank Gaurav and Drew Gable who have taken a break away from the committee this season for their service over the last few years.

We welcomed 3 new Life Members with Jake Chapman receiving the 300 game automatic Life Membership while the nominations of Drew Gable and Phil Clarke were successful with both guys joining the club from Chadstone Harlequins after the merge. Congratulations to all three worthy new Life Members.

There were a few exciting changes to the AYCH.cc Continuation | SOPs that were passed that looked at long-term planning and introduced proxy voting for Life Members at an AGM as of 2026-27 that will be addressed in a new post.

All Life Membership nominations must be in writing and handed to the Secretary (Choc) prior to the commencement of the AGM. As per our SOPs, all nominations required a seconder and 2/3 of votes to be carried.

A massive thank you to everyone in attendance for the 2025-26 Past Player's Day, Premiership Reunions and $2,000 Reverse Draw function last night and everyone who supported the club to make it another successful night for the AYC Harlequins Cricket Club.

Congratulations to Bobby Glaister who won the $2,000 Reverse Draw.

A massive thanks to our special guests Don Maginness Jnr for coming down and sharing stories of the beginnings of the club and his found memories of his dad Don Maginness Snr and Eric Simpson who were the integral part of forming the club in 1957. Don showed off some AYC history with his original 1963-64 AYC Premiership cap and the 1968-69 & 1972-73 additions that were both in excellent condition.

The feedback received from those in attendance was overwhelming and the club presented Don with a new club polo and club hat that made his night.

Congratulations to Ken Boustead who was awarded the BCP naming rights with the award being known as the ..... 2025-26 Ken Boustead, Best Club Person Award.

Well done to the Premiership winners who were recognised with a reunion and those who attended and relived the moment.

A big thanks to the work of the committee to put on the functions with special mention to Marshall and Liz who worked from dust to dawn to make it a successful night.

In closing, again thank you to everyone who supported the club and function.
