Well done to our Women's Fours team who competed yesterday in the sectional rounds of the Australian Open at Broadbeach Bowls Club. Teams from across Australia, and even overseas, travel to compete in this prestigious event.

Representing Auburn, Lisa Parmenter Katrina Flinn, Judy Park, and Sue Ball recorded one win and two losses during the day's play. It was a great effort by the team and a valuable experience competing against quality opposition at this level.

Congratulations, ladies, on representing our club so well. We hope you enjoyed the experience and are proud of your achievement!

Congratulations Lisa Parmenter on an outstanding performance in the Women’s Singles at the Australian Open on the Gold Coast.

Lisa won all three of her sectional round matches to progress through to the knockout stage of the competition. Unfortunately, the windy conditions weren't on her side today in the game played at Paradise Point, and she went down to a very experienced competitor from Broadbeach.

Well done, Lisa, on a fantastic tournament and a great achievement in reaching the knockout rounds!

It was a massive day at Pantherdome - Narre Warren Bowls Club last Saturday for the 2026 Para-Singles Tournament. 26 entrants played 4 games in a 2 set format with a tiebreaker end if needed.

It would be Bundoora's Barry Hancock taking the gold after winning all of his matches in straight sets. Congratulations Barry for being the overall winner of the event! Auburn's Donna Ellery would take the silver, also going undefeated throughout the event. Our ID gold medallist was Korumburra's Joanna Lomango who went 3-1 and our silver medalist was Invermay's Paul Carlyle who also went 3-1.

Congratulations to all bowlers who participated and thank you to Narre Warren Bowls Club for hosting the event. It was a wonderful day and our biggest Para-Singles tournament yet!

The Noel Waite Award (The Walrus) 🏆

Named in honour of a great club man and outstanding bowler, this award recognises our season MVP, as voted by opposition skips.

A huge congratulations to our inaugural winner, Mike Limosani — a very deserving recipient! 👏
Well done also to our runner-up, Warren Hunter. 👏

It was a fantastic night at the club for the count, filled with plenty of laughs and a delicious spit roast dinner.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making the evening such a success.

Yarra region Champion of Champions 🏆
Today Lisa Parmenter and Simon Collett represented Auburn at MCC
Simon had a convincing win in the first game, but just missed out in the second.
Lisa had 2 great wins today, and is through to the semi final tomorrow at 10am against Sam Robinson from MCC.
Hopefully her game will be live streamed on the Yarra Region YouTube channel, but it would be great to have lots of Auburn supporters at MCC tomorrow.
See you there ☀️
