50 games for Sarah Cairnduff! 💙❤️

A true club favourite who has been part of East Malvern for what feels like forever, Sarah has been the backbone of our defence for years. Her consistency, toughness, and ability to shut down the opposition’s best players have made her one of the competition’s premier defenders.
Congratulations Sarah on this fantastic milestone. Here’s to many more games in the blue and red! 👏🏉

Round 8 - Review

After a slow start that saw the boys trail at quarter time, the Seniors responded in style with a dominant second quarter that set up a convincing 55-point victory, 17.16 (118) to 9.9 (63).

Isaac Morrisby was outstanding up forward with six goals, while Trent Shannon added three. Dyl Thomas, Ollie Ingersole and Harry Chrzanowski each finished with two majors in a strong team performance.

Best on ground honours went to Isaac Morrisby, with Dyl Thomas, Hayden Chrzanowski, Nick Baltas, Jacob Brunner and Lachie Harris all playing important roles in the win.

RESERVES -

A tough day for the Reserves, going down 5.7 (37) to 20.11 (131).

Despite the result, the boys continued to compete throughout the four quarters and never stopped working against a strong opposition outfit. There were plenty of positives to take away, with several players continuing their strong form and battling hard until the final siren.

Aidan Gitlits was outstanding and led the way, while Jack Waldron provided a target up forward with two goals. Reece Behnke, Lachie Russell, Nick Duncan and Lachie Kirkwood were also among the better contributors on the day.

NETBALL

A competitive contest for our netballers, with the girls going down 51-41 after battling hard across all four quarters.

Kath Kirkcaldie was once again outstanding, shooting 28 goals and earning Best on Court honours. Kate Brown provided great support with 12 goals, while Faith Price added another major.

Despite the result, the team continued to fight until the final whistle and showed plenty of determination throughout the match.

Reserves Match Review

A tough day for the Reserves, going down 6.8 (44) to 11.6 (72).

* Quick mention to Liam Briscoe-Hough who sadly played his last game for EMFNC , before shifting states for work, thank you Liam!

Best players were O Ingersole, B Salmon, N Battersby, L Briscoe-Hough, L Kirkwood and E Salgado.

Netball Match Review

The attacking combination was outstanding all day, with Kath Kirkcaldie leading the way with 24 goals, while Kate Brown added 11 in a strong team display.

A massive congratulations to Miller Busby on reaching the incredible milestone of 100 games for the East Malvern Football Netball Club.

Miller is the definition of a true clubman. Whether it’s on the field, around the rooms, or lending a hand wherever it’s needed, he’s the kind of person every club is built on. No job too big, no job too small , he just gets it done.

100 games is a fantastic achievement, and it’s a reflection of the effort and dedication he’s given to the club over the journey.
