More fresh Alpitude carbon has landed.

It has been a little quiet on here, but the Italian gear has still been moving in the background.

This drop includes full carbon upgrades from Alpitude Components including carbon saddles, seatposts, oversized pulley cages, top caps and small finishing parts for riders who care about every gram.

Just beautifully made Italian carbon for serious bikes.

🚴 Can a 1200g road wheelset handle real gravel?

Lenny* bought a set of Schmolke SL 37 wheels, then put them through 2500km of road, rough tarmac and regional Queensland gravel.

This is not polished marketing copy. It’s a proper rider review, with the good, the honest, the buying process, the setup, the delays, the weight check, and the answer to the big question:

Would he buy them again?

A great read if you’ve ever looked at boutique carbon wheels and wondered whether they’re actually worth it.

Thanks again to Lenny* for taking the time to write such a detailed review.

Real Schmolke SL 37 review after 2500km on road and gravel. Lenny explains why he chose Schmolke over Reserve, how they ride, and whether he’d buy them again.
