We have BIG NEWS! Planning for the 2027 Sandstorm Tournament is officially underway. Expressions of interest are still open (see link in bio). We are in the process of finalizing details ahead of our Information Night, which will be coming soon. Based on the interest we have received so far, we will be taking one boys Class of 2029 team. Please reach out if you are unsure about your eligibility. This is going to be a fantastic opportunity!

We are excited to announce that the MLA will be holding a school holiday camp in July. Our awesome coaches will lead two days of fun and intensive speed, strength and lacrosse training. A perfect way to start the school holidays and to get ready for the rest of the season. We will hold strength and conditioning sessions, lacrosse drills, game film analysis and scrimmages. Players will be grouped by age, skill level and gender. The cost will be $300 GST included. More details can be found on the website - see link in bio.

Thank you so much to Australian Men’s Olympic Sixes squad players Donnie Howard and Sean Aaron, who ran a fantastic training session with our MLA boys yesterday. Donnie ran dodging and shooting drills with our offensive players while Sean spent time with our goalies and defenders.

MLA was established in 2025 to give the next generation of Australian lacrosse players from all clubs across the region these special opportunities to train with the best coaches and players.

We want to thank Donnie and Sean for taking time from their busy schedules to work with our boys. It is refreshing and inspiring to see our Olympic Sixes players giving back to the lacrosse community. A huge thank you from all of us at MLA!

We are excited to welcome Rowdy Brown to our MLA coaching team for the 2026 Elite Training Program. Rowdy is from Austin, Texas and has been playing lacrosse since 3rd grade. He played as goalie at the University of Texas and was named All Conference Goalie twice. His coaching experience includes working with the Austin High School Lacrosse team as the goalie coach for the past two years. Coach Rowdy is excited to share his knowledge with our MLA lads.

Smiles all round from our MLA goalies after being given the opportunity to work with Coach Rowdy Brown at the weekend. Rowdy was the goalie for the University of Texas lacrosse team and will be playing for Footscray Lacrosse Club during his time in Melbourne. Thanks for joining us Rowdy.
