We are thrilled to announce our 2027 MLA Sandstorm team. This team, which is made up of players from around Australia, will be the FIRST Australian team to ever compete in the Sandstorm Tournament, held in Indio, CA every year. With the chance to train with and play in front of college coaches at the Sandstorm Showcase and Tournament, this is a great opportunity for our junior Australian players to experience US lacrosse.

We still have room for a couple of long poles, so if you are interested in joining us please reach out. We will be at the u15 National Tournament in Queensland in October and are happy to have a chat about this amazing opportunity.

Congratulations to all our MLA Elite Development Athletes and Coaches, who were nominated for the 2026 Lacrosse Victoria’s Best and Fairest Awards.

A huge shout out to Flynn Blackley (pictured here) from Footscray Lacrosse Club who was awarded the under 14 Boys Best and Fairest. Congratulations Flynn.

We are also incredibly proud of Tru Spittle from Malvern Lacrosse Club who tied for second place in the under 18 Boys Best and Fairest, and Elliot Carey from MCC Lacrosse Club who tied for third place in the under 16 Boys Best and Fairest.

Our 2026 MLA Coaches also did well with Coach Bryce Walker winning the State League Men’s Best and Fairest and Coach Connor Egan listed as one of the Best and Fairest nominees in the same category. Finally, Coach Davis Lindsey who joined us for our 2026 Winter Holiday Camp was the leading men’s goal scorer.

It’s so wonderful to celebrate these athletes from our MLA community! Congratulations to everyone!

Congratulations to MLA’s Deus Assaad, who has been accepted into North Yarmouth Academy in Maine to continue his academic studies and lacrosse training.

Deus has been part of the MLA since our establishment in 2025 and has worked hard and consistently to achieve his lacrosse goals. We are so proud of his amazing achievement and honoured that our elite development programs have played a part in his lacrosse journey.

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for our Off-Season Elite Program for Girls aged 12-17 years. This is the first time that we have offered a program specifically for girls and we are thrilled that Coach Becca Clark, who worked with our girls in MLA’s Winter Holiday Camp, is returning to run this program. We also have Coach Trent from Inner Athlete (AUS) to lead the strength and conditioning component of this program each week incorporating fitness, agility and speed training drills that are directly transferable to the lacrosse field. This 4-week Program is designed for Girls aged 12-17, who will be grouped by age and skill level and will run on Sunday afternoons from 1-3 pm at Beaumaris Secondary College between October 25th and November 15th. Registration is now open for our Off-Season Elite Program. This Program will run on Sunday afternoons from 1-3 pm at Beaumaris Secondary College between October 25 to November 15. Our co-founders Colby and Lynda with Will Clarkson from Platform Sports | College Recruitment after a very informative session about US College Pathways for Australian lacrosse players.

The MLA was founded in 2024 to help junior lacrosse players reach their goals. Combining strength and conditioning with Coach Trent from Inner Athlete (AUS) with lacrosse skills development from our head US coach Chad Ronk Chad Ronk and other American coaches who have played college lacrosse gives our athletes the opportunity to develop their strength and agility and fine tune their lacrosse skills. We are even more excited about the programs we offer after Will’s presentation as it is clear that we are helping Australian lacrosse players work towards US College.

Thanks to everyone for joining us at our first US College Lacrosse Pathways information night last night. Will from Platform Sports | College Recruitment gave a very engaging and informative presentation about college recruitment in the States!

It is clear from Will’s presentation that MLA’s unique program combining strength and conditioning with lacrosse skills training is giving our MLA athletes a head start that will translate directly to the US College Lacrosse system!
