Angle of attack measurement device for the foiling nacra 17.

We found the biggest problem with the current parts on the market was the reliance on using smartphones to measure the angle of attack, because they need to be adaptable to multiple different phone shapes and sizes, they introduce slop and play into the measurement. This slop causes large inaccuracies, that can ruin your race. The other issue with using a smartphone, is that if your battery dies, you can't measure your angle anymore.

Here at HT sailing systems, we devised a solution, a completely independent way of measuring the angle of attack on your rudder, our mount is attached directly to the winglet, with minimum play, and it measures directly perpendicular to the normal of the winglet, meaning the angle that it measures, is the angle of lift.

Two pricing options:
The mount alone AUD $50, compatible with most Digital Protractors, including DXL360 and DXL360s

The complete package: Mount and Digital Protractor included at AUD $200, Rechargeable using standard USB cable, High accuracy ±0.1°, high resolution 0.02° Battery life of over 40 hours before the need to recharge.
