”STRETCHING BEFORE TRAINING HELPS PREVENT INJURIES!”
That is indeed a MYTH! 😃

Remember the old high school drill: “Stretch before you work out”? Well, recent research is shaking things up, suggesting that certain types of stretching before a run or workout might actually hurt your performance instead of helping it. 🤔
Here’s why: Your muscles aren’t warmed up yet, so doing static stretches when your body is still cold can actually decrease your power, strength, and explosive movements. And as for injury prevention? Sadly, stretching isn’t the magic fix we thought it was. 😣
To get your body ready for action, try a dynamic and active warm-up for about 10–15 minutes instead. 🤸🏃♀️🤸♂️🏃🤸♀️
Focus on moves that mobilize your joints and get that heart rate up! ❤️ A brisk walk on the treadmill, a little time on the cross-trainer, bike, or rower—anything to get your body primed for the heavier stuff ahead. Especially activation exercise’s specific to your workout!
