Good afternoon!

A bit of information, please read through to the end 🙂

Looking for a reliable, motivated, experienced disability support worker to come on board our care team.
Working with a paraplegic person aged 37 years old.
She's so amazing and strives to be as independent as possible, however requires support with morning routine, general house keeping and assistance with a 2 year old.
This is a fulfilling role, within an amazing family!

Hours vary between 3-6 hours depending on needs.
Currently looking for Monday and Wednesday to start: 7.30am-10.30am (potentially longer)

Requiring a dynamic person with the below ability/skills.
- Ability to multitask
- Work with pace and urgency
- Have a fun and confident personality, able to access situations as they arise and adjust accordingly.
- General tidying/cleaning (has a cleaner weekly, so mainly maintenance of the household), laundry and food preparation (is a plus)
- Able to engage and experience with young children. They have a 2 year old
- Dog lover (as they have 2 whippets)

Morning routine
-Assist with breakfast (when needed)
-Assistant with getting her up and into the shower (showers independently)
-Assistance with getting dressed and (at times) trying on new clothes.
-Assistance wheeling commode onto the toilet, however toilets independently.
-Ability to help transfer to/from wheelchair an advantage.
-No hoist needed

There will be a shadow shift and induction to ensure there is adequate training, support and handover.

The right person will have relevant experience/qualifications in disability, CPR, WWC and PC.
Drivers licence/car
ABN.
Available to start at 7.30am
Camberwell area
