Ladies, living with PCOS can be a minefeild, luckily with a little exercise and paying close attention to nutrition navigating it can be a lot smoother. Exercise is a great way to regulate your hormones that are play a role in the management of PCOS, so it doesn’t have to be great every time you do it, you just have to do it. Find something gentler on the harder days and push when the energy levels are high.

📔 Set yourself up for the week and take some time out to plan your meals.
Doing this will put you on the right path to sticking with your nutrition goals. Not only will this take the guess work out of your day trying to figure out what you will have for lunch during a busy work day or when you come home from a long day but it can prevent you from over/under eating, because you know what to expect and when.
This will look different for everyone based on how much time and effort you (can) put into your food planning/ preparation.

Basically when you you fail to prepare you are only preparing to fail .The key is to make an intentional effort to nourish and fuel your body with the occasional treats during the week.

💤 Sleeping plays a crucial role in both mental and physical performance. It is recommended to get a consistent pattern of at least 7 hours per night, and while some of you have no trouble falling asleep, many of you struggle to get some. Here are some tips to get your sleep under control.

😴Stick to a sleep schedule and if you don’t fall asleep in about 20 minutes get out of bed and do something relaxing.

😴Avoid caffeine, ni****ne and alcohol because they are stimulants to the brain and body.

😴Be physically active, get your body moving expending energy just not too close to your bedtime.

Don’t make self love or body acceptance conditional! 👎🏾

This is a message for those that are starting out on their fitness journey or those that are feeling stuck.

If you make self love conditional you will never be happy with yourself. The reality is that our bodies along with life are constantly changing and won’t stay the same.
If you base a lot of your self worth and love on something as ever changing as your body, you are just buying tickets to the emotional roller coaster of body obsession and shame.

After taking a break from posting, and focusing on some other projects I am back to give you all the exercises and nutrition content to educate, motivate and inspire you to get yourself closer towards your fitness lifestyle goals.

Just remember no matter where you are with your fitness journey that the healthy habits you make should be steeped in positivity and they take time to build. So keep habit stacking for the long term✨

Pumped that 2:1 Personal Training is back!
Let’s face it, the continuous lockdowns and cold winter weather has put our motivation levels to get out and exercise at an all time low. If this is you and you are struggling with motivation and accountability to keep a regular exercise routine going I’m here to help bring you back in the right direction.
Having a trainer is a great way to take the guess work out planning a exercise routine and wondering if you are doing the exercise right in the first place.
So if you would like to reclaim your body physically, start to feel better, move better and be better reach out to get back on the right track.

A lot of people that I work with have very tight hips which causes back pain, knee pain and inefficient movement. Here is a routine that will help improve your hip mobility. If you can’t perform all the exercises you should be able to do a majority of them.
The key is to do them daily to see improvements in how you move, perform and reduction in nagging injuries, aches and pains.
