Attention everyone! The big one is here!

The 2026 Oceania Sumo Championships will be held on Saturday the 27th of June, at the St. Ives Sports Centre, in St. Ives Sydney.

Wrestlers and grapplers from around the country as well as so far confirmed a team from across the pond in New Zealand will be converging on Sydney to determine the best Sumotori in the continent!

The complete range of weight classes for both men and women will be ran as well as a teams event, including Featherweight mens (under 70kg) division for those lighter leaner athletes.

We are excited to be hosting the event this year in a bigger venue! The sports centre will provide us ample space and facilities as well as seating for our audience.

Congratulations to coach Mike for taking out 1st place at the recent Christmas Cup tournament.
Mike lost to Heith during regulation rounds, but was able to take out the win during play offs!

Also congratulations to our student Tom Carroll for taking out 3rd place. Tom had displayed stellar techniques the whole day, and was consistently on the leader board!

Thankyou to the Australian Sumo Federation for putting on the Christmas Cup at our club!
