I remember clearly the first time I heard this phrase: it was during a yoga class, I was attempting to perform a standing vine where my standing leg was reaaaally cramping (and surely not letting me hold). Our instructor said these wise words and I was astonished when I chose to switch my focus from the pain and frustration, to brace my body tightly and breath through the exercise.

I can't say it wasn't uncomfortable anymore. All I know is that I stood standing, on one leg, focused and somewhat proud of that little achievement. Next time, it was not only a little easier, but I was also a little stronger.

And that guys, applies to everything. 💕

Becoming a mum made me simplify things that I used to (probably) overcomplicate before that. My cleaningless, my minute-by-minute agenda, my unflexible level of organisation...

And a big one has been my way of eating too! Counting calories, measuring portions and macro intakes through an app is something that I did for a few years of my life.

And by all means I do not regret it at all! It did not only teach me lots of valuable information about the foods I eat the most, but it was also a priority I had at that particular stage of my life and that's all made me who I am today.

However, priorities change and the day has only the same 24 hours!! So you gotta chose wisely how to spend them, and if anything has to go... let it be that.

Nowadays, my meals look (almost) the same as a couple of years ago but it's turned into a completely intuitive style of eating. Wish I absolutely love!

Sticking to the same old principles I used to live by: I prioritise a quality source of protein, add a yummy form of complex carbs, a portion of healthy fats and lots of vegetables to make it colorful.

How many calories do you see in here? Who knows! I do know it makes happy, keeps me healthy and it covers my daily needs to be who I want to be today. 😍

FULL BODY CIRCUIT — Core focus 🤸‍♀️

This time I got creative, so you'll need a mat, a suspension trainer and Pilates balls!

×10-15 combos with light to moderate load
15-30 sec rest or as little as possible
×2-3 rounds each circuit

▫️CIRCUIT 1:
A) Tippy lunges, left leg.
B) Tippy lunges, right leg.
C) WIde to narrow grip body row.
D) Oblique crunch to bicycle crunch.

▫️CIRCUIT 2:
A) Pistol squat, left leg.
B) Pistol squat, right leg.
C) Push up to knee tucks.
D) Toe taps to crucifix.

That emotional debate between the nostalgic of how quick time flies over the little baby I brought from hospital, and the excitement of seeing this tiny human being growing into her own little person.

Then I remember that every stage of life is equally important, yet challenging, at the same time. And fully living each of those is a task that can only be achieved .
