This Saturday, let's come together as one community to honour the life of Nathan "Fitzy" Fitzgerald.

As Nathan's memorial service takes place, we'd love to see football jumpers proudly displayed outside homes right across Victoria.

From 12:00pm on Saturday, place your football jumper, club polo, scarf or club colours on your front door, letterbox, fence or whatever you have out the front of your place, as a simple but powerful gesture of respect.

It doesn't matter which club you support.

This isn't about rivalries.

It's about a young man whose life was taken far too soon, and showing Nathan's family, friends, teammates, and the entire Epping Football Netball Club that they are not grieving alone.

A football jumper on a front fence may seem like a small gesture, but when hundreds or even thousands of homes take part, it sends a message that an entire community is standing beside them.

If you're taking part, we'd love to see it. Post a photo in the comments so we can create a wall of support for Nathan's family and everyone who knew and loved him.

Let's make sure Nathan's family can look around on Saturday and know that all of Victoria is thinking of them.

🍺WE NEED YOUR HELP - WE GOT BROKEN INTO AGAIN🍽️🍺

The footy club was broken into AGAIN on Sunday night, and we desperately need to recoup some lost costs. We've asked our caterer My Little Country Kitchen to bring extra parma's for our Thursday dinner July 2. From 5.30pm we're serving, the Juniors aren't training so there's tons of room for community members before the Senior team come in at 8pm. These are genuinely the biggest and best chicken parma's you'll ever eat. So please get friends together and come top the club. It's nice and warm, the food and atmosphere is fabulous, and at $22 including your drink, there's no better value anywhere. It's your local club, so please help us out. there's no need to book, just turn up.
