Mount Barker Disability Program
The SACA, with support of the Mount Barker District Council are running a FREE Cricket program for children aged 5-12yrs old living with a disability – come and give cricket a go! No experience required and all equipment will be provided by SACA, it’s all about fun, learning skills and making friends in a safe and inclusive environment.

Tuesday’s 4-5pm
FREE program for 5-12yr olds
Starts – 13th October 2026
4 Sessions (13th, 20th, 27th October, and 3rd November 2026)
Location - Summit Sport & Recreation Park

We’re excited to announce Rhys Paterson as our A Grade Captain for the 2026/27 season!

Rhys will lead the Burras back into the A Grade competition, with the support of our new playing coach Kieran Tregloan.

A big season ahead as we make our return to A Grade cricket, and we couldn’t be more excited to see Rhys and Kieran lead the way.

We’re excited to announce Bradley Towill as our U16 Coach for the upcoming season!

Bradley, our A Grade opening bowler, brings plenty of cricket experience, energy and passion to the role, and we’re excited to see him work with the next generation of Burras.

After a fantastic season last year under Adam Crickmar, we’re looking forward to seeing the boys continue their development and enjoy another great year of cricket together.

With a new cricket season just around the corner, it’s time to dust off the cricket gear and get ready to go!

Junior training dates are locked in and we’re looking forward to seeing plenty of familiar faces back at Mount Barker Cricket Club, along with some new ones.

WE ARE BACK!

After a five-year hiatus, Mount Barker Cricket Club is excited to announce we are back in A Grade for the 2026/27 season!

Leading the way will be Kieran Tregloan, who has been appointed our A Grade playing coach.

Kieran brings plenty of experience and passion for the club, and we’re excited to have him leading the group as we take this important step forward.

🏏 WE’RE COMING HOME – BACK TO DUNN PARK! 🏏

An exciting new chapter is beginning for the Mount Barker Cricket Club, with the club set to reclaim Dunn Park.

The move carries plenty of history. Mount Barker pioneer John Dunn, who played an important role in the development of the town, donated the land with the intention that it be used for cricket.

Now, as we enter our 140th year as a club, we have the opportunity to return to a ground that holds an important place in our history.

Club Vice President Gregg Harris summed up what the move will mean:

“This is actually our 140th year for the club, founded in 1886, and we have played at a lot of different venues, but we haven’t had a ground we can call home.”

The plans for Dunn Park include a future two-storey clubroom overlooking the oval, giving us the opportunity to build a genuine home for the club, create a strong club culture and proudly display and celebrate our history.

A huge amount of work has gone on behind the scenes with the Mount Barker District Council to help make this possible, and we’re incredibly excited about what lies ahead.

Junior cricket is expected to return to Dunn Park this coming season, with our senior teams remaining at Summit Sport and Recreation Park for the time being.

A proud moment for our club, our past players, our current members and the generations still to come.

🏏 A new chapter for Mount Barker Cricket Club!

Congratulations to our newly appointed committee members, and a heartfelt thank you to outgoing President Gregg Harris for his tireless work and dedication over the past three years.

Under Gregg’s leadership, the club expanded to four senior teams, introduced a female cricket program and brought cricket back to the Summit—among many other achievements. His contribution has left a lasting mark on our club and community.

We know the club is in great hands with newly elected President Justin Roberts and look forward to an exciting 2026–27 season.

We can’t wait to welcome our returning players back onto the field—and warmly invite new players, families and supporters to become part of the Mount Barker Cricket Club community. 💙🏏
