Saturday (8:30am) for Come and Try and Social Paddling. Narooma Blue Water Dragons was formed in July 2010. We are a community dragon boat club based in Narooma on the Far South Coast of NSW. Our motto is "Looking good, having fun". Narooma comes from the local Yuin Aboriginal word, Noorooma, meaning 'clear blue waters'. Since 2010 our members have gained accreditation in Coaching and Sweeping, represented NSW at a National level and been competitive in short and long course racing. We regularly combine with other Southern Region clubs for social paddling on local waterways, one of the highlights being the 20km Mallacoota paddle hosted by Merimbula Water Dragons. Some of our club's major achievements have been the construction of a boat shed on the foreshore of the Wagonga Inlet and the purchase of a second dragon boat to ensure everyone is able to get out on the water as member numbers grow. More recently we replaced our original second-hand boat with a brand new 20s dragon boat.
