🤩🏁 Holiday Haven Flow X Rd. 3 Wrap Up + Results 🏁🤩

We had a fantastic afternoon out on the trails for round 3 of our Holiday Haven Flow X on Saturday, with over 50 riders in attendance! The trails were dusty and the temperatures were warm, but there were plenty of smiles and lots of fun to be had on track. The event once again showcased this awesome format of racing, which is all about riding at your own pace, hanging out with mates, and having a good time!

While our next event will be an XC race on the 10th of October at Coondoo (we’d love to see you there - just picture it as one long Flow X stage 😎), our final round of Holiday Haven Flow X will be on the 14th of November at Superbowl. Lock the date in to your diary and help us finish the year of racing on a high! 🤩

❌🚽 No Toilet at Flow X Tomorrow! 🚽❌

While we normally have a portaloo on site at our events, unfortunately we will not have one tomorrow, meaning there will be no toilet facilities available at Superbowl 😔

Please keep this in mind when coming out to race - we recommend going to the bathroom before hand!

We apologise for any inconvenience, and hope to have the toilet back for future events.

On a better note, there is still time to enter! Entries close at 8am tomorrow morning, so use the link in our bio or jump on the website to sign up now. It is going to be an awesome afternoon on the trails 🤩

Our Super Bowl trails will be temporarily closed tomorrow from 1 pm to 4 pm for our Holiday Haven Flow X event. If you are planning a ride tomorrow, please head out either side of these times, or take the opportunity to go and enjoy the trails at Butterfly or Coondoo!

Flow X is two hours of good old-fashioned MTB fun — 4 timed stages, predominantly downhill, with untimed liaison sections in between. Send it, race your mates, chase your own times or just come and see what racing is all about.

👉 Bring gloves, enclosed shoes, water and sun protection.
👉 If you’ve got tools, bring them along — if not, no stress, we’ve got you covered.

We have had some fantastic riding weather recently, and we hope you have been out enjoying the trails! While the work on the lower section of the airflow trails at Superbowl continues, we are looking to give some other sections a freshen up to prepare for our next Holiday Haven Flow X round on the 19th of September (entries are open! https://entryboss.cc/races/32028).

Track work is a huge part of keeping SCUM trails riding well year-round, and we really appreciate any support you can provide. If you have some spare time on Saturday afternoon, please come out and lend a hand!

A kids bike and helmet were accidentally left behind at Coondoo on Saturday and the owner is very keen to be reunited with them!

🌞🦋 XC Rd 4 Recap 🦋🌞

We had an absolutely fantastic afternoon on the trails yesterday for round 4 of our SCUM XC series, with perfect weather and great dirt. It was awesome to be back racing at Butterfly and the course was in prime condition after a sprinkling of rain and the extensive work done by our trail team 💪

There was lots of great racing out on track, with riders of all ages enjoying the sunshine and relaxed atmosphere. The Butterfly loop offered a good level of challenge for all abilities, with some tough climbing separated by fun, flowy sections where you can catch your breath (if you’re lucky!). With recent road upgrades, hopefully we will get to go back out and race at Butterfly more regularly! Final results will be on the website soon 📝

As always, we wouldn’t be able to run these events without our amazing crew of volunteers, who ensure that everything operates smoothly on the day (and in the lead up!). We really appreciate those who step in to help out! If you would like to volunteer at one of our SCUM events, please send us a message or reach out via [email protected] - any help goes a long way!

Next up we will have our monthly track work day on the 12th of September, followed by round 3 of our Holiday Haven Flow X series at Superbowl on the 19th of Septemver. Make sure to put these dates in your calendar and keep an eye out for more details closer to the events!

Schedule:
• ✍️ RACE PLATE COLLECTION: 12.00-1.00 pm (u/11 racers must collect their race plate no later than 12.15 to be ready for their race briefing on the start line at 12.30)

• 🏁 UNDER 11 EVENT: 12.30 pm - Racers must be on the start line at 12.30 for their race briefing, followed by the race start.

• 🗣️ MAIN EVENT BRIEFING: 1.00 pm - All racers must attend the race briefing. The briefing will outline the race course, trail conditions, rules and safety and other important information.

• 🏁 MAIN EVENT: 1.30 pm

Make sure you get your entry in before you head to bed tonight, as entries close at 8am tomorrow! It’s looking like the sun will be shining and the temperature will be perfect for racing, so no excuse not to come out for a pedal. Use the link in our bio or head to the SCUM website to enter!
