Massive thankyou to Bruce Banks for his ongoing support for the Foundation and Baskerville over many decades now. Bruce sacrificed having his own car completed for the historics, instead doing these improvements. Thankyou Bruce

Another piece of Bathurst history is the ex-Jim Richards and Mark Skaife Gibson Motorsport Nissan GT-R. Here we see the 1991 Bathurst winning car at The Adelaide Motorsport Festival in 2025.
Tony Alford will have this car on track at the Baskerville Historic race meeting October 16-18, so get along for a look if you are in the area.

Its absolutely stunning that we have both these cars on track at this years Baskerville Historics. Who could imagine that all these years on, these 2 cars would return to Tasmania their home State and be on track! Don't miss the opportunity to witness this in person. October 16th to 18th, be there!!

Lots of cool historic connections being reunited here!

The DJR Ford Sierras were arguably the most iconic race car throughout the Group A period, recognisable all over the world. No stranger to Historic Touring Car Racing is Terry Lawlor, and he returns to Baskerville with his newly restored DJR Sierra DJR4 which raced between 1988 and 1991. This Sierra won the 1989 Aust Touring Car Championship title providing Dick Johnson with his 5th title. The Sierra was also raced as the 18 car for John Bowe in 1990 and 1991. DJR has an impressive history of 27wins from 46 starts! Watch out for this beautifully restored Sierra keeping great company with the Meidecke Sierra and the Nissan GTR of Tony Alford. BVH 2026, just 3 weeks away!

Justin Nilsson’s Nissan Pulsar Exa Turbo Group C would be one of the most unique Group C cars built in the period of Group C racing, in fact the only 1 in existence! Nissan under the leadership of Howard Marsden created an absolute brute of a car that was campaigned by Christine Gibson and Glen Seton with 2 appearances at the Mountain and a handful of other events before destined for Sports Sedan Racing, however fortune was on the cars side and it remained in Group C spec. Justin purchased the car in 2006 and has run the car all over Australia with Heritage Touring Cars ever since. The 1.5litre turbo will be extremely competitive in the Under 3 litre Division and will hurry up some of the larger cars in the combined races at BVH 26. Another must see car for the Nissan enthusiasts!

A lot of people don’t realise Andrew Miedecke is Tasmanian born! The Tasmanian Motorsport Hall of Fame recipient is bringing 2 of his well known race cars to once again compete at Baskerville Historics 2026. We aren’t sure when in fact Andrew last drove at Baskerville?
Competing against his good friend Malcolm Oastler, Andrew will be running his March Formula Atlantic which actually won the Malaysian GP in the exact livery. In the Tilford Touring Car Cup, Andrew will be flying the Ford flag high and wide with his Group A Ford Sierra which he competed in back in the early 90’s. Absolutely awesome not just to have Andrew racing in Tasmania, but in 2 cars in which he has some amazing history with, How good!!
