GRAND FINAL BOUND 💥

We mentioned our Netball sides last night, so let's finish the weekend on some seriously good news. Grand Final news.

Our Leahey Auto Group Division Six side has won straight through to the 2026 Grand Final, with it earning a week off.

Granted, it came at the expense of our Parrot Distilling Co Division Six side in yesterday's Qualifying Final, but they live to fight another day.

They'll join our pmwPlus Division Three and Parkview Hotel Orange Division Five sides in next weekend's Preliminary Finals.

Sadly, yesterday did bring an end to our Quest Orange Division Four and Tony Leahey Ford Division Five sides' seasons, with defeats in the Elimination Finals.

But, both sides produced incredible efforts and showed major development throughout the year. Seasons to be proud of.

The results may not have gone our way today, which hurts, but you play enough of these big games and you come to learn – you simply can’t win them all.

Although we fell short, having four sides in Grand Finals is no small feat… particularly for a club that keeps getting called a spent force, every single year.

So as the 2026 rugby season comes to a close, we need to thank our entire community for your commitment, effort and support all year.

Congratulations to Mitch Evers, the Blowes Clothing Cup's highest points scorer 🎖

Mitch has been unbelievable again this season and was, once again, among the absolute elite across the entire competition.

Sponsored by JLW Performance, Mitch notched 158 points this year, finishing more than 20 clear of his nearest contender.

He also ran third in the Player of the Year stakes, polling five votes, which comes after finishing second last year.

Mitch's face probably tells a story here, we know he'd rather be holding a different trophy, but it's been on hell of a season, and that needs to be celebrated.

Congratulations too, to Dubbo Kangaroos Rugby Club skipper Jack McCalman, who was named Player of the Final and Player of the Year.

Dale Kerrigan memes aside, let's finish this off properly. Congratulations Dubbo Kangaroos Rugby Club.

You've been the benchmark all year, and showed that again today. To win four titles from four attempts at home, is some effort.

Congratulations to all of this year's Premiership winners, commiserations to those who didn't quite get there.

We look forward now, to our 80th Anniversary. Expect to see us back here.

Running third in the Ferguson Cup's Best & Fairest race is a huge achievement, more so for someone in their second year of rugby.

From Women's North Cup MVP last year, to Ferguson Cup Best & Fairest this year - congratulations Madi Barclay-George.

Joining Forbes Rugby Union Club this year, Madi polled nine votes from the Central West Rugby Union Referees Association to win.

She finished three votes clear of Dubbo Kangaroos Rugby Club's Danielle Plummer (6) in second, with Emus Rugby Club Ltd's Becky Cooke (5) one vote further back.

Orange City Rugby Union Club's Sienna Sullivan was crowned the competition's highest-points scorer, with a WHOPPING tally of 180 - a record, maybe?
