Trade your steps for strokes 🚶‍♂️🏊‍♂️

We’ve all heard it a thousand times: "You need 10,000 steps a day to stay fit."

But what if you are an open water swimmer?

Because water is 800 times denser than air, swimming engages your upper body, core, and legs simultaneously while requiring your body to regulate temperature. A 2,000-meter open water swim match (and actually surpasses) the calorie burn, cardiovascular load, and metabolic demand of 10,000 walking steps, in less than half the time!

Let's get real for a second 👀

We are here to deinfluence you on unrealistic open water swimming expectations.

Social media will make you believe that every swimmer out there is churning out 5K sessions before sunrise at a 1:10/100m pace without breaking a sweat.

The truth? Open water is about consistency, respecting the sea, and enjoying the journey, not living up to unrealistic standards.

This is what pure open water looks like 🔝
