🎃🔮✨Happy Halloween from Rachel The Galactic Shaman! ✨🔮🎃

A little witchy mischief, a sprinkle of magic, a bubbling cauldron and perhaps a black cat or two! 🐈‍⬛💜

As Halloween approaches, the veil between the seen and unseen is traditionally said to grow thinner, inviting us to honour those who walked before us, reflect on the mysteries of life and embrace the magic that lives within us all.

But magic isn't always found in spells, crystals or the flicker of candlelight. 🌙

Sometimes, it's found in the simplest of moments.

✨ The courage to trust your intuition.
🌿 The wisdom to release what no longer serves you.
💜 The freedom to be unapologetically yourself.
🔮 The quiet knowing that there is so much more to life than what our eyes can see.

And sometimes, magic is simply having a good old laugh, letting your inner child come out to play and not taking life quite so seriously! 🤣

So whether you're celebrating Halloween, honouring your ancestors, connecting with Spirit or simply enjoying the costumes, pumpkins and spooky festivities, may your day be filled with laughter, love and a little unexpected enchantment.

Remember, you don't need a witch's hat to be magical. The magic has always been within you. 💜✨

From my little travelling corner of the universe to yours, wishing you all a wonderfully wicked, delightfully magical and beautifully spirited Halloween!

With love, laughter and a sprinkle of stardust,

Rachel 💜

🍂✨ The Sacred Pause✨🍂

As October closes and we arrive at the eve of Halloween, remember this:

Not everything requires an immediate answer.

Not every invitation needs a yes.
Not every question needs an explanation.
Not every conversation needs to continue.

Sometimes the most powerful boundary is the pause.

🌿 “I need time to think.”
🌿 “I’m not available for this conversation.”
🌿 “I need some space.”
🌿 “That doesn’t feel right for me.”

The sacred pause gives your soul time to speak before old patterns answer for you.

You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to think.
You are allowed to change your mind.

Sometimes the pause IS the boundary. 🌙✨

What boundary phrase are you practising right now?

Mine might be:
“Let me think about that and get back to you.” 💜

🍂✨ The Sacred Pause ✨🍂

As October begins to close and we arrive at the eve of Halloween, there is something beautiful about remembering that not everything requires an immediate answer.

Not every invitation needs a yes.

Not every question deserves an explanation.

Not every conversation needs to continue simply because someone else wants it to.

Sometimes the most powerful boundary is the pause.

A boundary does not always sound like “no.”

Sometimes it sounds like:

🌿 “I need some time to think.”
🌿 “I’m not available for this conversation.”
🌿 “I need some space.”
🌿 “That doesn’t feel right for me.”

For many of us, the old response comes quickly.

We agree before checking in with ourselves.

We explain before anyone has even asked us to.

We say yes because we don’t want to disappoint.

We keep the peace while quietly disturbing our own.

And this is where the "sacred pause" becomes so important.

It is that small space between what is being asked of you and the answer you choose to give.

A breath.

A moment.

A chance to feel.

A chance to ask yourself:

"Do I actually want this?"
"Does this feel right for me?"
"Am I answering from truth… or from an old pattern?"

As we move toward the end of October—a time traditionally associated with endings, reflection and letting go—perhaps there is something you no longer need to carry into November.

The need to explain yourself.

The need to answer immediately.

The need to make everyone comfortable.

The need to say yes when everything inside you is whispering **not this time.**

You are allowed to pause.

You are allowed to think.

You are allowed to change your mind.

You are allowed to give your soul enough quiet to speak before old habits answer for you.

Sometimes the pause IS the boundary.

And sometimes that little pause is where we finally begin choosing ourselves. 🌙✨

A question for you:

What boundary phrase are you practising right now?

Mine might simply be…

“Let me think about that and get back to you.” 💜

✨ Farewell, Whyalla ✨

My time in Whyalla has come to an end, and although this visit became much quieter than I originally planned, it gave me exactly what I needed—time to rest, heal and recharge. 💜

Thank you to everyone who welcomed me, offered suggestions and shared a little kindness along the way. Your warmth has been truly appreciated.

One of my favourite memories will be my early mornings at the marina, quietly waiting for the dolphins at 7:00 am. There were no photographs—just me, the dolphins and the moment. Those peaceful encounters will stay with me for a very long time. 🐬✨

I also enjoyed a beautiful swim, the sea breeze, the changing weather and even those gloriously cold showers when the car felt more like a sauna! 😂

Whyalla may not have unfolded exactly as expected, but it gave me space to slow down, listen to my body and simply be. Sometimes, that is the greatest gift a place can offer.

Thank you, Whyalla, for the rest, the healing and the memories.

Now it’s time for Diamond and me to continue the journey. Next stop—Port Augusta! 🚐💎✨

# The Peace You Stopped Chasing

For years, she thought peace would arrive when everyone else was happy with her.

So she became very good at keeping things smooth.

She answered messages when she was tired.

Said yes when she wanted to say no.

Explained herself until her words lost their meaning.

She gave more than she had because she believed love was measured by how much of herself she was willing to surrender.

And whenever someone was disappointed in her, she took it as proof that she had done something wrong.

So she tried harder.

Gave more.

Explained more.

Adjusted herself again.

Peace always seemed just out of reach.

She thought perhaps if she became kinder, more patient, more understanding, more available, then eventually everything would settle.

But it never did.

There was always another request.

Another expectation.

Another reason she needed to stretch herself a little further.

Until one evening, sitting alone in the quiet of her home, she realised something.

Nobody was asking her what all this effort was costing her.

Not even herself.

She looked around the room.

Nothing dramatic had happened.

There had been no argument.

No final betrayal.

No door slammed shut.

Only exhaustion.

The kind that settles deep in the bones when you have spent too long trying to earn something that should never have required you to disappear.

That night, she did something unfamiliar.

She stopped explaining.

A message arrived asking for something she did not have the energy to give.

Normally, she would have written paragraphs.

She would have softened every sentence.

Apologised three times.

Added reasons.

Justified herself.

Instead, she typed:

*I can’t do that today.*

She stared at the words for a long time.

They looked almost rude to her.

Too simple.

Too bare.

Where was the apology?

Where was the explanation?

Where was the part where she made sure the other person still liked her?

Her finger hovered over the screen.

Then she pressed send.

And waited.

Her stomach tightened.

Her mind immediately began offering corrections.

*Maybe I should send another message.*

*Maybe I should explain.*

*Maybe they’ll think I don’t care.*

But she didn’t send anything else.

She put the phone down.

And after a while, something surprising happened.

The room became quiet again.

So did she.

A small piece of peace returned.

Not because somebody had given it to her.

Not because everyone approved.

But because, for once, she had protected it.

After that, she began noticing how often she had mistaken self-abandonment for love.

How many times she had over-given so she would not be misunderstood.

How often she had extended herself beyond her limits simply to remain welcome.

Slowly, things changed.

She rested without earning it first.

She said no without writing an essay.

She stopped attending conversations that left her feeling smaller.

She learned that availability was not the same as love.

That sacrifice was not always kindness.

And that being understood by everyone was not a requirement for living truthfully.

Some people adjusted.

Some questioned her.

A few drifted away.

That hurt.

But something else grew stronger in their absence.

Her relationship with herself.

She discovered that the people who truly cared for her did not require constant access.

They did not punish her for having limits.

They did not make affection conditional on how useful, agreeable, or accommodating she could be.

Around them, she did not have to abandon herself to belong.

And eventually, she understood what she had been missing all those years.

Peace was never waiting somewhere ahead of her.

It was not something she needed to chase.

It was something she needed to stop giving away.

So she became more careful with it.

Not guarded.

Not closed.

Simply aware.

Aware of what drained her.

Aware of what nourished her.

Aware of who allowed her to remain whole.

And whenever she felt tempted to twist herself into a shape someone else might find easier to love, she remembered:

The right people will never ask you to leave yourself behind in order to stay.

Peace grows quietly when you stop over-explaining.

When you stop over-giving.

When you stop over-extending yourself for acceptance.

Sometimes protecting your peace is not a grand act.

Sometimes it is simply choosing not to betray yourself today.

**A question for you:**

What helps you protect your peace?

Is it solitude?

Clear boundaries?

Time in nature?

Turning your phone off?

Saying no without guilt?

Or perhaps simply remembering that you do not have to earn the right to feel at peace.
