From growing up as a Blue Fin swimmer herself to becoming an owner, her journey has been shaped by a lifelong love of swimming, plenty of hard work, and a deep connection to the swim school.

🐠 What is our Pre School A level?

Pre School A is our first level without a parent in the water - a big and exciting step for our little swimmers! 💙

At this level, our focus is on building confidence, independence and comfort in the water while learning to:

⭐️ Put their face in the water and blow bubbles
⭐️ Kick independently for 5 metres in a torpedo
⭐️ Float confidently on their back

These might seem like small milestones, but they’re the building blocks for becoming a confident, independent swimmer.

Meet Caitlin!

Caitlin has been teaching at Blue Fin since mid-2025, but first joined our community as a parent in 2022 when her daughter started lessons.

Growing up in country Victoria, Caitlin spent her childhood around beaches, rivers, dams and pools. A scary kayaking accident as a teenager made water safety especially important to her, and it’s one of the reasons she loves helping children become safe, confident swimmers.

Her favourite stroke is breaststroke because it’s both a survival and competitive stroke.

Outside of teaching, Caitlin is busy with her two kids and enjoys reading, sport, cooking and crafts.

Her favourite part of teaching is seeing the moment something “clicks” for a swimmer and watching their confidence grow. 💙

Meet Cinzia!

Say hello to Cinzia, one of our amazing swim teachers! 💙

✨ Joined Blue Fin in February 2026

🏊 Favourite stroke: Backstroke (because breathing is easy!) but her favourite to teach is freestyle because it’s the foundation of confident swimming.

🐶 Outside the pool you’ll find her with her energetic Labrador, enjoying the outdoors or reading a good crime novel.

💙 Favourite part of teaching? Watching children grow in confidence and achieve things they never thought they could.

🌏 Bucket list swim: Swimming with whale sharks at Ningaloo Reef after already swimming with dolphins, seals and even seeing great white sharks from inside a cage!
