Hi,
Just a heads up for road closures in Queanbeyan.
NOW Monaro Street closed till further notice.
13th September Intersection of Sutton Road and Yass Road closed mostly at night.
I also hear the weir at Oaks Estate will be getting fixed at night.
27th September Intersection of Lowe Street and Monaro Street (outside the courthouse ) closed for 2 weeks or so they say.
This last one will have an impack on Queanbeyan Croquet Club.

Young Croquet Club hosted the singles component of the Farrer Cup today. Queanbeyan came away with the win so have taken the trophy from Young and back to Queanbeyan.

Thanks to Young for hosting the day, they put on great food, beautiful weather, and great games.

Farrer Cup - Young v Queanbeyan in Golf Croquet.

Today the Doubles component was played at Queanbeyan, with the Singles to be played next Sunday at Young.

It was a beautiful day for croquet with six players from Young making the trip to Queanbeyan for the day. Queanbeyan won the day, however the singles are on next Sunday so who knows what will happen.

Thanks to everyone involved in the day, especially to Maggie for organising and Ruth for keeping the kitchen running smoothly.

It was Sunday 23rd August at Sutherland Croquet Club were we all gathered to play AC pennants Canberra/Queanbeyan team against Sutherland/Marrickville. The crowd cheer as the player took to the lawn . Canberra /Queanbeyan the winners on the day. It was a bright sunny day in the shire and a good time was had by all.

The first test for our Division 1 team was held at Canberra yesterday.

Our team came away with the win. Both singles won their games, the doubles were not so fortunate but played great games.

The 70th Port Macquarie carnival presentation night began with Bridget Earie and Sue Moss cutting the cake, then the winners were presented with there prizes. Linda Nickels from Queanbeyan got runner up. Later followed by a chicken and salad meal and cake. Thank You to Port Macquarie Croquet Club for the week without rain and lots of sun.
