From champions to today’s rising stars, Tennis ACT brought generations together at its recent annual awards night, inducting two female trailblazers from pioneering Canberra region families into the Walk of Fame. Joan Shumack (later Le Nevez) and Norma Crawley (née Southwell), whose local roots date back to the 1850s, were recognised for their outstanding contributions to tennis across different eras. Queanbeyan tennis stalwart Norma Crawley (pictured left), contributed to the sport for more than six decades.

It was great to see so many teens on court yesterday for the teen tennis fiesta! Congratulations to our recent graduates on creating such a great event 🎾 We hope to see you all for another hit soon 😀

Thanks to our club volunteers for helping with on court activities and the bbq, the event wouldn't have been possible without the support of Parkside Tennis Academy too - great job coaches!

There were lots of great prizes up for grabs from our friends at Intersport Fyshwick, Yonex Tennis Australia/New Zealand and Collins Booksellers Queanbeyan - thank you for your ongoing support 💛💙

💫 Teen Tennis Fiesta 💫
Two of our junior club members have been putting a lot of work into organising this upcoming event at our Campbell St courts. We'd love the wider community to get behind them.

The event is all about giving teenagers a fun, social way to get on court, meet new people and enjoy tennis - whether they already play or have barely picked up a racquet before. There will be food and prizes!

Great news that there will be 7 teams playing in the upcoming Junior CTL League. This is the biggest number I think, ever. Thanks to Ben Trudinger and Parkside Tennis Academy for all his encouragement and hard work with our juniors.
