Queenborough is based in Sandy Bay on a lovely grassy track at Sandown Park lined by trees.

Age categories range from 5 to 14 years, so U15 is the end of a Little Athletics career but for many, the beginning of club athletics.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Reminder: QLAC AGM this coming Tuesday ๐Ÿ“ฃ

QLACโ€™s 2026 AGM will be held virtually on Tuesday 26th May at 7:00pm.

All members of QLAC who had registered little athletes at the Club during the 2025-2026 season are welcome to join the AGM via the Teams meeting link previously circulated via email.โ€จ
We are also putting the call out for expressions of interest for new committee members to be onboarded with a number of the current committee turning over at the conclusion of the upcoming 2026-2027 season.

Please contact us via DM or email to [email protected] if you would like further information on the AGM, QLAC committee roles or if you are able to consider helping the Club by any means possible (including non committee roles and assistance for meets).

QLAC AGM 2026 and call out for new committee members

QLACโ€™s 2026 AGM will be held virtually on Tuesday 26th May at 7:00pm.

A huge congratulations to our QLAC President Lauren Jauncey Gorringe on her induction to the Little Athletics Australia Hall of Fame.

QLAC End of Season Presentations and Gary Ingram Memorial Handicap Race.

We enjoyed a beautiful end of season meet on Friday night at Sandown to celebrate the conclusion of our 2025/26 little athletics season.

A highlight of the night was our annual
Gary Ingram Memorial Handicap Race which is a well loved event and provided much excitement as we worked through the heats, semi finals and grand final races. We were honoured to be joined by Maryanne Ingram, wife of the late Gary Ingram who joined us for the fun and presented the trophy for the race to our overall winner - Charles Fyshe!

At this meet we also recognised the achievements of a number of our little athletes were announced as recipients of our centre awards for 2025-2026. This included our QLAC Club Champion for 2025-2026 - Frankie Gorringe.

We are excited to once again be holding the annual Gary Ingram Memorial Handicap Race as a feature of the meet. This event sees all athletes across the age groups participate in a handicapped race which gives every child, irrespective of age group, a chance of winning!

At this meet we will also be recognising the achievements of a number of our little athletes who will be announced as recipients of our Age Group PB, Overall PB, Centre Participation and Club Champion Awards.

QLAC will be running a sausage sizzle on the night with complimentary sausages and zooper doopers for our little athletes and their families.
