Queenborough is based in Sandy Bay on a lovely grassy track at Sandown Park lined by trees.

Age categories range from 5 to 14 years, so U15 is the end of a Little Athletics career but for many, the beginning of club athletics.

We are excited to announce that QLAC now has an official online hub for buying and selling preloved aths gear!

Repoze is an online marketplace for families to buy and sell preloved kids' gear. Within repoze, schools and clubs can form their own community hubs, and QLAC has just launched ours.

Spikes outgrown before their second season. Uniforms that still have plenty of PBs left in them. A Hub means good gear keeps moving through QLAC families instead of gathering dust in the cupboard and keeps costs down for everyone chasing a personal best.

How it works:
Download the repoze app or visit repoze.com.au. Signing up is free.
Follow the QLAC Hub. Sell what the kids have outgrown and buy what they need next.
It takes seconds: snap a photo, confirm your asking price, done.

Check out with card or Apple Pay, then choose shipping or arrange an in-person exchange at Queenborough.

Simple as that.

Follow the QLAC Hub on repoze today and help keep good gear on the track, not on the shelf.

2026-2027 QLAC Little Athletics Season Confirmed!

We are delighted to share some positive news!
Following our recent call for volunteers, we received four further nominations to join the QLAC Committee.

A huge thank you to Sarah, Verity, Vanessa and Kelsie for putting their hands up to help. Their willingness to contribute means that QLAC is now adequately resourced to deliver the 2026–2027 season, and planning is already underway.

Registrations will open in the coming days, with the season set to commence in October. While we wait for our home ground at Sandown to become available at the beginning of November, the early part of the season will include joint meets with other centres.

Thank you to everyone who responded to our call for help and for your continued support of QLAC.

We are excited to be moving forward and look forward to welcoming everyone back for the 2026–2027 season!

Dear QLAC families,

A quick update following our recent call for Committee members.

We still need more people to join the Committee to ensure we have enough support to deliver the 2026–2027 season.

We need help with areas including social media, timing, Treasurer, BBQ coordination and general Committee support. Training and support will be provided where needed, and you don’t need previous Committee experience.

If you can help, even in a small capacity or if you are not available every meet, please reply by DM or reach out to one of our Committee members as soon as possible.

Every offer of help makes a difference.

Thank you,
QLAC Committee

‼️QLAC NEEDS YOUR HELP🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Queenborough Little Athletics Club is looking for at least three (3) new Committee members to help secure the future of the Centre and deliver the 2026/27 season.

Like many community clubs, QLAC relies on volunteers to make this happen. Due to recent changes to our existing Committee, our current volunteer numbers are no longer enough to share the workload required to run our meets, and we urgently need more people to get involved.

📧 An email with more information was sent to all current QLAC families earlier this week. If you are a current family, please check your inbox — and your spam/junk folder if you haven’t seen it — for the full details.

Following this call for help, we have only received one response back and still have a number of Committee roles still to fill.

We’re needing people to help with:
📱 Social media – keeping families and the community informed
⏱️ Timing system – training provided
💰 Treasurer – supporting the Centre’s finances
🔥 BBQ Coordinator – coordinating ordering and stocking of BBQ and operation
🤝 General Committee support – helping plan and coordinate the season meets

You don’t need previous Committee experience, and you don’t need to be an athletics expert. Training and support will be provided, and responsibilities can be shared.

We need at least three (3) more people to step forward by Wednesday 19 August so we can determine whether we have enough volunteers to run the 2026/27 season.

👉 If you can help — or simply want to have a conversation about what’s involved — please get in touch via DM or email to [email protected]
