💙💛 PLAYER SIGNINGS 💙💛

Three more locked in for 2027! 🦅

BRAD RATUBULI: Our reigning Under 19 league Best and Fairest winner is back! 💥 An absolute athlete with plenty of bounce, competitiveness and a serious ability overhead. Brad continues to grow in confidence in the blue and gold, and we can’t wait to see what he brings in 2027.

RYAN McNAMARA: A livewire forward with an unbelievable knack for finding the goals. Smart with his body, dangerous around the big sticks and always entertaining to watch. A crowd favourite for us, and probably one the opposition loves to hate! 😂

SONNY MANTEL: Sonny continues his journey through the ranks after coming through our junior system. Silky smooth by foot, super skilful and making smart decisions well beyond his years. We’re excited to see what the future holds for this young gun! 💙💛

Three players we’re pumped to have involved as we look ahead to 2027.

Go Eagles! 🦅

💙💛 WELCOME HOME, MILLER STEWART! 💙💛

We’re thrilled to announce the signing of Miller Stewart for season 2027! 💥

After spending the past two seasons at MPFNL clubs, including a year at Rosebud in 2025, we’re excited to welcome Miller back to the Nest!

An explosive, burst-paced midfielder who thrives on the inside, Miller brings plenty of grunt around the contest and has the ability to break away from stoppages. With his versatility to push forward and hit the scoreboard, he’ll be a great addition to our side in 2027. 🔥

Welcome home, Miller! We can’t wait to see you back in the blue and gold! 💙💛🦅

🦅💙💛 SIGNED & SEALED FOR 2027! 💛💙🦅

Three more Eagles are locked in for season 2027, and we couldn’t be happier to have these boys back in blue and gold!

Benny Neilson: A strong, tall defender who can swing forward and hit the scoreboard when called upon. Benny has an incredible set of hands and will clunk just about anything that comes his way! A huge presence at either end of the ground, we’re pumped to have Benny back for 2027. 🦅

Kai Suparta: Our electric small forward who brings energy every time he goes near the footy. Whether he’s hitting the scoreboard, bursting through the midfield or hunting the opposition with relentless pressure, something is always happening when Suppa is around! Bring on another big year!

Jordy Hammock: Our very own unicorn! 🦄 A super-athletic weapon who can play on all three lines of the ground and has a booming kick to match. Jordy continues to go from strength to strength every season, and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the table in 2027. The best is still to come! 💥

Three quality players, three massive assets to our footy club. We’re stoked to have you all back for another crack in 2027! 🦅

💙💛 THANK YOU, KATHY CROSS! 💛💙

After many years of dedicated service to our netball program, Kathy Cross has decided to step back from coaching and enjoy the game from the sidelines as a spectator and supporter.

Kathy has been a loyal and valued member of our netball department, coaching across the program since 2023 before taking on the huge responsibility of Head Coach in 2026, leading both our A and B Grade sides.

Coaching takes an enormous amount of time, energy and commitment, and Kathy has given so much of herself to our players and our club. Her dedication, passion and willingness to give back to the program are something we are incredibly grateful for.

Kathy, thank you for everything you have contributed to Somerville Football Netball Club and for the countless hours you have invested in our netballers. We hope you enjoy a well-deserved break from coaching and the opportunity to simply sit back, watch and enjoy the game.

Although you might be stepping away from the coaches’ box, we have no doubt you’ll still be there each week cheering on the girls and proudly supporting Bridget and Ruby! 💙💛

Please join us in thanking Kathy for her incredible contribution to our club and wishing her all the very best for this next chapter! 🦅
